has early onset Alzheimer's :( Although he seems to have taken this news with a pinch of salt and called it an "embuggerment", and has vowed to release a "few more books yet", I can't help feeling woefully sad and sort of empty.

As one of it not my complete and utter most favourite author of all time I don't think it's fair that a man of 59 at the peak of his creative career should have this happen to him. I kind of idolise him, I seem to have a varient of his sense of humour and I just feel utterly utterly devastated for him.
