Cat Power will play a one-off London live show in the new year.
The singer, real name Chan Marshall, will appear at the Shepherd’s Bush Empire on the 27th of January, with full backing from the Dirty Delta Blues.
‘Song to Bobby’, the sole Marshall-penned track from her impending homage collection Jukebox, has recently been released through Matador. It’s available as download-only from iTunes.

god I love that photo of her.
Does she just better looking with age or is it me?
Is she able to play live yet?
I saw her a few times between 2000-2003 and she was absolutely terrible every time. I don't think I've ever seen her complete a song. Is she over all the melodramatic stagefright nonsense yet?
yes
yes she is.
her performance
at atp suggests otherwise
jools holland
thought she was good, quirky good.
oh, she's over the stage fright
she's just rubbish live.
The set with Dirty Delta Blues
at ATP was so fucking boring, shame because the Barbican gig just after The Greatest came out was amazing.
bah
I didn't go to that after getting so badly burned at the Shepherd's Bush Empire gig. If only there was some kind of formula for working out when she was going to be good.
she is difficult
i love cat power's music, but everytime ive gone to see her she was fucking rubbish. There's stage fright and then there's just being a drunken and drugged up mess half starting songs and then mumbling up stage until it's time to finish. The Barbican show was an improvement. But I'd want to be guaranteed she's clean before i spent another twenty quid on going to see her.
cannot wait for the new album though
easily the worst act I've ever seen at ATP
my mate summed it up..."that was like watching Jools Holland"
