reality - end up having a party

i was out for someones 21st last night, and i'm out seeing some top notch folk punk tonight so tomorrow i shall most likely be staying home and spending new years with mr.toad's annual bash on bbc2

at pop art. i think there was supposed to be some sort of party at my place, but id rather not spend nye in my cocoon, regardless of who else is there.

there will only be 3 of us there and we'll mostly just drink, smoke and play cards (which i think is nice).

I don't really like going out on NYE, I prefer to get everyone together at some kind of house party but this year most of friends are busy either working or doing family things.

and see if I can start my rock 'n' roll year of death in style.

i haven't decided yet.

all of which look fun but all of which have drawbacks.

so i dunno.

plus, i have to work during the day.

that my mate is throwing. The arrangements are currently paper thin though, so "probably" is as much as it is.

i was planning on staying in with a book, but now wanna go out!

dragon bar in hoxton - i was there last night and this dealer told me he'd give me free drugs all night if i attend!

my friends are doing 'hip hop karaoke' at the social.

there's a few warehouse parties i have no interest in.
drinking in london fields / broadway market.

having to go to work tomorrow is something I'm dreading with a vengeance.

To Newcastle actually, no real reason other than to cross it off on my "place I have never been to" list.

Starting off at my mate Hayley's where her flatmates are having a party to eat, drink and consume, then setting off for a night of debauchery soundtracked by Simian Mobile Disco (amongst others)

Every year my friends family throw a fuck-off party. Every year we do something shit instead then say "we should have gone to that party". We're going this year. It better be good.

Drinks at a pub swiftly followed by drinks at a club then the stark realisation, come midnight, that nothing has changed. I am also meant to attend a 'classy dress cocktail party' in that mix. I HATE NEW YEAR.

There's party options but I'm feeling pretty antisocial at the moment so I reckon I'm going to just stay in and get annoyed with myself for having done so the day after. Cheaper.

Meet up with half a donzen of my fellow chivalrous Chaps.
Drink before we go out.
Get a Chinese/curry/any takeaway.
Drink.
Go out to some bars and eventually end up in the wonderful (I use the term ironically) Liquid or Zannzi.
Drink.
Chicken and Chips/Kebab.
Sleep.

Generally my friends and I detest this sort of lifestyle, but as it's a special occasion we are allowing ourselves to become plebs for the night, lol.

5pm, come home. find my workmate and wife already drunk. start drinking and catching up. see if anyone else is coming over. if not play some board games. if so play board games that allow more people. keep drinking until realisation hits me that i have to be at work the next day at 10am serving breakfast to people less hungover than me. grow tired of relaisation, drink some more. fall over. accidentally start quoting boosh and barley and not recollecting it. dress up in my red track pants.
