Way back in November 2007, we reported on the forthcoming Eels best-of and b-sides compilations that will still arrive on the 21st of January. There were also a string of dates in February – click here for details of all that; but know now that band leader Mark Oliver Everett is releasing a book before then and he’s tying it in with a special performance in London.
Things the Grandchildren Should Know will be available from the 17th of January and a show that night at St James Church in Piccadilly has been planned to coincide.
If you’re going along, you’ll receive a copy of the book and if you’re in the first 200 people to enter the building you can get it signed. Limited tickets for the evening are still available; here.

Interview...
...forthcoming.
almost a decade
quite impressive
most of the best is in the essence
for this rap shit that I stand for
expanding more to the big screen
bill gates dreams
but it seems youd rather see me in jail
with state dreams
want me off the scene fast
but good things last
like your favorite m.c. still makin' some mean cash
first rapper to bring a platinum plaque
back to the projects
but you still wanna hate, be my guest
I suggest
i'm interviewing him on Thursday
I think I'll ask him about this.
