i cant wait for the album. i think she is without doubt one of the biggest talents to come out of this country in recent times. anyone else agree? shame i cant see her live for 5 months as i'm off travelling. unless she plays in bagkok.

you mean
Laura Marling, radio darling?
Definitely!
I really like the idea of this songbox thing she's shifting too, seems very reasonable for twenty notes.

Anyone know the tracklisting?
..
no i dont know the tracklisting, ive ordered it though and looking forward to it. the EP was brilliant, night terror and typical are sheer genius.
I've only just heard some of her stuff
Absolutely beautiful voice. I don't know much about her though. Who is she? And when's her album out?
February the 4th
I think... that may be the limited 'songbox' thing though. I love her new video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XonJJbV54BE
i don't like her music much but
from what i've seen she plays nice venues, soi'd probably go and see her. she played a jazz club in Manchester last year, and she's done other small venues like that that aren't the normal ones every artist plays. well done.
I can't get over the fact
that she's singing such serious love songs when she's only 17/18
I didn't realise
that she was that young, does anyone know if the song New Romantic is on the album?
Shes shit.
Nuff said.
no
or at least i doubt it to the Nth degree
industry inside info suggests otherwise. it was written when she was 15 or something ridiculous, and she really dislikes it now. it was only put it on the last EP at the last moment to appease her label; most of her fans are fans on the strength basis of that song.
look the her jools holland appearance for example. she looked well pissed off at having to play it... and recorded another song for the internet.
there's a lovely acoustic version of Ghosts (then entitled Heartbreakers Handbook) online which is about 1000x times better...
yours faithfully,
industry scum
Cheers mate
I can't see why she doesn't like it though, or maybe the lyric about her mother has something to do with it.
Or
she got as pissed off with Ryan Adams' recent albums as everyone else.
.
probably in the same way my diary when i was 17 now reads like a scummy wet ballon.
i would also suggest she's far too clever to let herself be pigeonholed in the same media bucket as Kate Nash. this, surely, is obvious.
i'm here all night Marling fans...
