I don't get it.
Saw them supporting Ian Brown, and
it was just cringe worthy. (Cue comments about Ian Brown being cringe-worthy, he's not. I said so.)
That track with the sweary chorus is embarrassing. I have been wrong before mind. I said Kylie would never make it as a pop star.
Glasvegas
"Daddy's Gone" and "Flowers & Football Tops" are great. However, time will tell if they can make a whole album of quality like that. Very strange that they are suddenly getting loadsa attention, as they have been around Glasgow for a few years and were considered a bit crap
That might explain why..
they're not doing any Scottish gigs on the tour, i guess
"were considered a bit crap"
change were to are ;)
I've seen them
they are comedy good, but as a real band p1sh. If we're being serious, actually a bit embarassing.
The lack of Scottish gigs
is quite interesting.
Probably because everyone up here is aware of how much of a joke they really are.
it makes no sense. at all.
alan mcgee's been posting practically daily bulletins on myspace about this band for at least 18 months, yet suddenly NME takes notice and now they're EVERYWHERE. and they're not even THAT great. why aren't the twilight sad getting this amount of attention?
except that some of us decided we like Glasvegas some months earlier
... in my case after seeing them on Rockworld Death Disco. To be honest, this is one of a few acts that I've decided to see for myself and to try and form an objective opinion for myself.
I do agree though that the Twilight Sad are very good and need more attention. I don't think that it is going to come from the NME though. Here I give credit to DiS Drownloads.
that new single is
freaking amazing and will be massive.
I'm going to check
them out at Gloucester Guildhall...only as it's local though
Is there any chance that
NME started to pay attention when Tim Jonze started a label up to release 'Daddys Gone'?
