Apparently this band are playing in London in abit. anyone ever seen them live? they get the inevitable Lightning Bolt comparison and afew of their tracks seem quite good, but not groundbreaking.

i saw them recently

and they were very good. i recommend seeing them. they're on myspace.. do a search or something. this doesn't help at all really, does it?

myspace

doesn't help anyone

yeh

ive seen them on myspace, just wondering about the whole live thing, because some of the stuff i've heard meanders abit. cheers though!

I've seen them live a few times.

In short, they fucking rule.

ok

no doubt i'll pop down and see whats what. theyre playing somewhere called the miller. anyone ever been there? just curious, never heard of the fucking place

Totally

Much better live than on record.

Yaaah yah

I think they improvise even more live, so you never really know what you're in for.

Making a meal for Beethoven is fucking amazing.

Don't listen to it while driving though.

.

So far 'botting for columbine' and 'pumping iron' have been my faves

I saw them in Sunderland just over a year ago

supporting These Arms Are Snakes and thought that it was utter bollocks. their side-on stance on stage aggravated me and seemed pretentious and the music baffled me completely. I just didn't get it at all. I reviewed that show and described it as "self-indulgent aural diarrhea".

I would like to take this opportunity to retract that portion of the review lol. Having just listened again on good old myspace I can safely say that they are in fact, judging by the songs on there, alright. I'd like to be able to see them again and have another go.

Those would be my somewhat inconclusive thoughts.

Actually, more than alright...

they're great!

I have been enlightened tonight :)

lol

the biggest u-turn ever

They

is good innit

could easily clear a room though,
depends what sort of audience there is!

i saw them at a tiny festival

about 18 months ago. they had to stop playing because someone ODed and there was nowhere on site the paramedics could hear their heartbeats while the band were playing. stupid drug users.

bloody hell

what festival was that?

Yes I do.

They are very good live. Wear earplugs though, please.

they are bloody great

seen them about 10 times, tho they are from leeds and play here evey few weeks.

saw them at the last single launch, with singing. not sure whether that's a permanent thing mind. i like them with just guitar and drums :)

a bit meh

when i saw them anyway. the drummer didn't really do much and their pretty short set seemed to drag on forever. this was about a year ago though.

definately go see them

new singer = massive improvement

they were always great live, but now they're amazing

to me....

... they sound like what they are.... half of what normally constitutes a 'band'.
