What Synth gives the best string sounding effects? Violin etc.

Would it be a Moog Synth?

buy a violin, fool!

i want a violin :*(

An electric one.

;D

buy a violin

then. easy.

A Synth is easier to play, and I like the way you can

bend the notes. Somthing that you cant do with a violin. Unless you have got an electric violin with a cry-baby. So, Synth it is.

well you can have a synth

mirrilondon can buy a violin. we are all happy!

Okay...

Mirri?

yeah

possibly
maybe

No

i'd just like to prove a point.
to myself.
in the privacy of my own home.
with NObody listening.
yeeeah!

cant bend the notes

surely you can by moving your finger?

Maybe bend was the wrong term.

I cant really explain what I mean. I just like the way that you can change from note to note on a synth (string effect) and it sounds partly real and partly, well synthetic.

I'll get my coat.

depends on the £££

Get an ondes martenot

buy a midi keyboard

and a laptop.

It has to be live play.

I am sure that Moogs are the best Synth for this.

record or play live.

Vienna symphonic make the best library of orchestral sounds for a pc.

However i know roland do some great string cards for hardware synths.

If its hip hop style strings and hip hop in general your look at korg triton range.
