Exciting news, ATP fans: both Battles and hip-hop legends De La Soul have been confirmed for the Explosions in the Sky-curated weekend of May 16-18.

Says the festival's own website:

Are you excited? Well you should be because we have news just in that the legendary De La Soul have just signed for May alongside Battles who return to slay you all with two late night sets in Centre stage like Aphex Twin did in December.

More good stuff is coming over the coming weeks and this line up is starting to be a hot ticket as the 2 and 5 berths are selling faster than you can say Glastonbury is for Sex Tourists! So I would advise you book soon before all the tickets go.

dear god

it just gets better and better, this weekend will be amazing.

god

damn

Mwaha!

I knew I made the right choice with this weekend.

Aaaaarrrgghhhh...

...this is the problem with two weekends. I have tickets to vs Pitchfork which is sporting a descent line up. I was feeling quite smug until I looked at all the bands added to this one over the past few months. The line up is INSANELY good. But can I afford this one too? Probably not. What to fricking do?

On the up side, we have the Fav. Hallelujah!

They have both developed into Pretty Ace Events

Fo'sho.

At the outset, I'd have gone for the Pitchfork one, too.

wow

I still don't give a shit about battles really, but De La Soul could be incredible.

Ooh why oh why oh why

Does the lineup have to be so good when I can't piggin afford to go. Now my girl wants to go to to see De La Soul!

Yes please. :)

CHINCHILLAFEST 6 in leeds is the same weekend

if you want see even more exciting bands for a snip of the price.

woo hoo!

I love ATP more than I love parsnips...! (almost)
