So if he hadn't been in Million Dead, everyone would hate him, right? RIGHT?!

yes

Hate? No.

Indifference? Probably.

WRONG

He's awesome. Both personally and musically. I will NOT let this one lie...

nah,

if i hadn't seen him live so many times i probably wouldn't like him so much because his album veers dangerously close to softrock lameville on a couple of tracks. but he's a good guy and some of those shows have been among the best times i've had in the past year & half / two years.

Yeah

There's really nothing else to separate him from any other guy with an acoustic guitar.

Is he re-issuing his album?

I heard an advert for it the other day on XFM.

It's been nominated

for their stupid Best Debut Album award thing. He's supposed to have a new album out in spring.

It's out on my birthday

That's March 31st, folks. The album's called Love, Ire & Song.

let's make this stage our rubicon

As much as I'm happy that Frank's doing his own thing, his album didn't grab me in the "you will be obsessed with this album for the next two years" way that A Song To Ruin did.

HOWEVER, I look forward to his new one because I do genuinely have an interest in what he's doing and his lyrics have always been where it's at.

Personally

I find his solo stuff awful. However, my mate holds him in such high regard and insists on trying to convert me whenever I go over.

yeah i dont like it either

but i LOVED million dead.

Nah met

Not true, haven't spoken to him in ages.

?

is the Rick Astley rumour false aswell?

Funny I just read this thread

I was listening to "After the Rush Hour".

It's a beauticunt lovelissimo track.
