Drowned in Sound - Community - Social - How was your day/ weekend/year so far?

i've been on a get fit routine since New Year. i've been eating better, not touched alcohol and even had the odd run to Tesco's. weighed myself today and i'd put on 4lbs. i'm not sure this dieting lark is for blokes.

I really enjoyed Control

Having not know a huge amount about Ian Curtis/Joy Division beforehand. But enough to know what was coming.

Enjoyed it enough to get my flatmate to steal a Control poster for me to put up in my room. :D

I foundf Control to be really touching

But I feel as though they foccussed too much on his love life, as though his suicide was a result of the affair only. It was done well and Sam Riley was amazing...Sorry I'm really busy at work tonight so I'm not making much sense but I know what I mean.

Been tutoring an AS level

Student in biology for revision. I've learnt a lot about molecules with hydrophillic heads and hydrophobic tails. transport of proteins and mylene something or others.

Pretty interesting session actually, even though I hardly understood any of it as I'm technically his English / Media studies tutor.

Somehow it works though.

No not at the moment

I prefer one to one, cos I'm absolutely no good at crowd control. I'm quite a good teacher, but a bit non conformist for school.

I may try teaching in college one day, and I love teaching english as a foreign language.

I got a job teaching English in Japan last March, but I didn't take it. I regret it slightly, but I knew it wasn't the right time. I would like to do some teaching but only in a college. I'd be too scared to teach in a school!

You are so right to be afraid

My friend taught in Japan too last year. When she gets drunk she rings me up to speak in Japanese. Best thing is, she loves holding dinner parties with Japanese food. She makes us start off being polite like they are in Japan, but after a few sakis standards slip.we're allowed to see how much wasabi we can take in one hit. WAH!
