hello!

so I'm filling in a form for a job, and in addition to all the 'what are your grades' questions, there's A WHOLE PAGE OF A4 in which I have to further explain why I would be good at the job.

Do I fill up the whole page/as much as possible? Or should I keep it ocncise and wait for an interview where I can expand upon what I've said?

thanks xx

give examples of how your job / study experience

would put you in a good position to do the job.

and don't waffle on

if you can't fill the page.

i wouldn't fill the whole page up.

they probably won't read it.

i'd keep it concise - put in things you'll be able to expand on them, as you said.

they'll probably have it in front of them when (fingers crossed) they interview you.

I'd try and keep it to two paragraphs

Concise and forceful.

I'm good at this aspect of the job because I have this experience and it's relevant because...

I've worked in an environment like this before...

^ this

or ask bobbygoerge.

Bullet points

One for each bit of the skills/experince they require, explaining how you fit it and giving an example if possible.
They most likely have a ticklist to check off so don't write long essays and make it hard for them to figure out - make it as quick and easy for them to see that you match the requirements as possible. Remember they have shitloads to look at probably and most will go in the bin, so make it OBVIOUS to someone who's skim reading
