season depending on their oponent, AL or NL, and their opponents roster ie sluggers, line drivers etc...

I'm pretty sure they don't have an out and out first baseman, just a few shortstops, second and third in the roster at the mo.
I disagree, but as i said it depends who they are playing within their league
or not. 1st base is rarely a guaranteed spot for any team.

You must be confused. He played like half a season at 3B years ago but he's been the first baseman for years now. And he's hardly ever DH because the Cardinals play in the NL
