Later when I was about 16 I had this amazing poster of the cover of jj72's first album which the band signed in gold pen and I got framed (as in, I put it in a £5 frame from Ikea). It looked boss
i had a radiohead WALL. every article/picture i could find.. :S
also PLACEBO.. (WHY?) and dandy warhols.. !? massive attack.. stone temple pilots........ THE VERVE! yes.. a big verve section.. oh god.. i'd better stop.
As well as gig tickets and the like. One of my walls in my old bedroom was covered in articles on Lightning Bolt, Diamanda Galas, Merzbow, Throbbing Gristle...it was a pretty scary wall.
after a year away at Uni, it was like some sort of bizarre mid-90's shrine. It was ace.
Black Grape, Bjork and Supergrass posters above the bed, an In Bed With Madonna film poster and some Rebekah Elmaloglou posters, 'flyers' for new singles and albums and tours from some horrific middle-of-the-road indie bands all the way round the room, Chumbawamba and Stony Sleep posters in alcove 1, Subcircus and Suede posters in alcove 2 and a poster of a gorilla drinking a bottle of beer whilst wearing a football kit on my notice board, alongside the one valentines card I'd received.
I recently chucked all my posters, most were the bus shelter sized ones. They'd become all tatty and ripped and I know Mr Starshaped wouldn't let me put them up. I nearly cried.
