i want to like him

but hes just not funny

Could this not be used

for everything he's done in his TV career?

^I love him, properly I think, bordering on homosexual love

but he's not done anything good on tv since he became properly famous.

RE:BRAND was excellent, and from what i've heard about the dancefloor chart it was amazing too. The rest = pap

i watched his stand up

it was dire :(

which programme?

one on now? he's on everything so much that his output is really varied in quality. The last thing I enjoyed with him was his Radio 2 interview with Richard Dawkins.

alot of the time i think he just tries too hard to be funny.

but it would be a lie to say he hasnt ever made me chuckle

i really like him

but he's presenting a comedy showcase thing where most of it isnt funny, one oh his bits was

was anyone

expecting it to be good?

was anyone

expecting this post to be about a prog-rock band brand has set up? i'd love to see that...

i really hate him!

i don't get it... he's not funny and he's annoying.. and.....JUST LOOK AT HIM! well, to each their own.

i'm just stunned that i randomly mentioned rosanne barr today and she's on the show!! :S

PRICK ^

i'm watching this on +1 now

it's actually really good

His bit about

wanking was pretty funny. But then it went to one of the crap other people's bits again so i switched off.

Ponderland Was Good

A bit like In Bed With MeDinner...

This thing about craig david is pretty funny

in its post-post-modernism

He's alright on TV

Not a patch on his radio show or stand up though. Even his stand up seems less funny when he's doing it specifically for TV but the first DVD is gold.

The rest was pretty awful apart from Michael Macintyre, who is excellent. I've heard that rant about the period between Christmas and New Year 3 times in the same number of weeks and I still love it. David O'Doherty used to be alright but essentially has 1 joke which ran dry a long time ago.

He seems to use the same stuff in his stand up as on his radio show

part of the greatness of the radio show is its spontaneity. I really hope he's just using stuff he thought up during the radio show rather than just writing it and incorporating it into both. Im sure it'll be the latter, but its nice to burst the "spontaneity fuckin bubble".

Oh Christ

Obviously I'd noticed the sheer amount of radio stuff that ends up in his stand up but the idea of the show containing pre written stuff hadn't occurred to me.

Ah well, its the interviews that generally provide the most laughs for me anyway.

I'm not a massive fan of his,

but I watched the show where he met the leader of the BNP's youth wing. Thought that he was really good on it. If you haven't seen it, it's worth a watch (it's on youtube).

yeah i think he's in his element

when he's on his Radio show, trading blows with Matt Morgan

that bnp thing is very good

but if i didn't know that that guy actually is a bnp higher up these days i'd think it was a parody of what a modern day racist might be like

why oh why

are people suprised this was a load of shite... it was russel brand after all...
