Artists: Tindersticks

This spring will see the release of a new Tindersticks album, the Nottingham band’s first for five years.

Ambling in the wake of 2003’s Waiting for the Moon comes The Hungry Saw, due on the 28th of April.

And with it…

‘Introduction’
‘Yesterdays Tomorrows’
‘The Flicker Of A Little Girl’
‘Come Feel The Sun’
‘E-Type’
‘The Other Side Of The World’
‘The Organist Entertains’
‘The Hungry Saw’
‘Mother Dear’
‘Boobar Come Back To Me’
‘All The Love’
‘The Turns We Took’

Those are all the details we have for now, though you can hear a track from the new album at the band’s MySpace page, which was only setup at the end of last week. There are reportedly plans to tour in the spring, too.

Eeeep!

Excellent news, although the last

stuart staples record sounded pretty much like a 'Sticks album anyway.

And I already suspect, without hearing it, that 'The Organist Entertains' will be one to skip.

Hmmm...

... first album without Dickon. Had better be good.
They were stunning at the Barbican when they did Tindersticks 2 for Don't Look Back but it was pretty obvious he and Staples couldn't stand the sight of each other.
Part of me wishes they had completely called it a day after that performance.

come on!

great news!
