is utter gash. Also, the picture makes him look like some kind of special needs kid...

'I am on the internet all the time. As well as this column I have got my own MySpace page too - quite a few players have them.'

er yes Micah, we know.

:O

Party, party, party

"We get there at about 6pm and always have a general knowledge quiz the night before the game, which is run by Les Chapman our kit-man. We do not split into teams, it is every man for himself!

The best by far is Didi Hamann, he has got a lot of knowledge, and the worst has got to be Kelvin Etuhu. He is actually good academically but some of his answers are ridiculous."

All footballer's columns are shite

Kevin Nolan's was equally garbage, from what I saw. It will have been through so many PR men and agents and other people who will filter anything decent out and turn it into an anodyne 30-second read with all of the narrative skill of a four year-old child's account of what he did at the weekend.

Ian Rush has a column in the Liverpool Echo

'I WAS really impressed with Liverpool's performance against Chelsea at the weekend and the challenge for them now is to repeat it week in, week out.

The work every player put in was fantastic to see and I’m sure the Liverpool fans who made the trip to London for the game, and those who were watching at home on TV, really appreciated it.'

...

'But what I would say is that Liverpool have to use this performance as the benchmark for the rest of their season.'

Erm, it was boring as fuck, Ian.

Kevin Nolan's column was one of the worst things ever

even Ian Holloway's is dire now. i think the problem with that though is that once the novelty of "cor, that Ian Holloway, isn't he zany and slightly unusual" had worn off, he just looks like a pillock

How dare you

Just wish he actually paid more attention to managing the team though.

DJ

David James' in The Observor is pretty top-notch I thought. It may have somethign to do with him being 37 though...

David James on football focus the other week

was one of my favourite football moments this year.

DJ: "It's staggering when you think about it that a country like England hasn't qualified for a major tournament. But we've now got a top-class manager and top-class managers brings the best out of their players"

Interviewer: "You seem to be implying Steve McClaren wasn't a top manager"

At this point there's this focus on David James' face where he says nothing for ages but his expression tells you everything...

at least kevin nolan's column had a weird hillbilly tone to it.

i remember one week he got inordinately excited about pasta. and once he drank TWO WHOLE BEERS.

:D

Hey, I'd be excited.

What do you expect

He's a footballer,
therefore a retard
probably just thinking about the next 16 year old he wnats to "roast"
