hello, i'm going to berlin this weekend and was wondering if there were any gigs or indie nights worth checking out? any ideas would be much welcome

minimal techno IS fun.

whereas my night at magnet felt like being in london. where i am the rest of the time. ergo, dull.

hey!

i am probably the lass who "lives" here (though i'm not sure why there's a need for inverted commas, i actually DO live here...)

anyway if you're looking for indie nights then, as mentioned above, magnet is pretty good. there's 2 rooms, one is indie & the other is even more indie so that should be perfect!

the other weekend i went to the roter salon near rosa-luxemburg platz which was also pretty indie & pretty good too.

and if you're here tomorrow night (friday) you should go to bang bang club at hackescher markt. they have death by pop night on every friday which is probably the best club night i've been to here.

i'll be in Berlin tonight, i was going to check out the bang bang club, becasue John Vanderslice is playing there on Monday i think, its him or Black Francis

wasnt great when I was last there. Its right underneath the Hackescher Markt station and had some god awful band called The Indelicates there. We left and went to Magnet.

Magnet is good

but Berlin's pulse is more electro-techno than indie

I loved that Mrs Dead record shop in Schoneberg too

check out the bang bang club

i played there in november and was pretty cool, it's underneath a railway bridge so suitably sleazy buty everyone was really nice
