FA Cup glory at the weekend. Please let Man United and Chelsea draw eachother at lunchtime.
Mass kudos to Barnsley and Bristol Rovers, hard luck Preston and Huddersfield.
Never mind the problems off the pitch at Anfield Rafa is doing his best to make his position as untenable as possible. Without Torres and Gerrard in the side Liverpool are woefully toothless.
Frank scores his 100th and 101st goals for Chelsea. Say what you like about him (and I often do), that's a hell of a record for a midfielder. Bionic man John Terry is unfortunately fit again.
Man United v Arsenal was a really strange game. It was pretty obvious about 3 minutes in who was going to win the game. I thought the manner of Arsenal's performance 2nd half was pretty reprehensible. From Eboue's reckless challenge past Adebayor's crazy dive to Gallas' petulance. Nani probably shouldn't have taken the piss but that's no excuse. Also, - kudos to the Man United fans for leaving before the final whistle. If my team had just thumped our nearest rivals I'd have stayed well beyond the final whistle to relish the moment. I can't help but think the league game is going to be very different...
Benitez must feel like Hook
at the end of Hook, when he can hear all those ticking clocks
Him...
The players, supporters, ground staff, owners, tea ladies...
I watched the first half of the Arsenal game
it was just surreal. I fucking hate Man U.
I love Nani now.
I still don't get why most neutrals like Arsenal. They are a horrible bunch of players.
possibly because most teams are a horrible bunch of players
but at least arsenal sometimes play attractive football?
pft
they're shit.
MEGALOLZ @ JUSTIN HOYTE.
5 pts clear at top of prem... of course they are shit
FA what?
It's the lesser version of the carling cup.
how did you get on in that one?
I had Man Utd to win 4-1
at 40 to 1. Perhaps the only time in my life I have ever wanted the filth to score.
I'm a Chelsea fan
but even I doff my cap to Man U for the manner of their demolition of Arsenal.
Totally comprehensive, took the piss and Arsenal behaved like children. Great stuff.
I hope that we get drawn with Man U before the final though, last year's game bored the pants off everyone.
chelsea won't draw man utd
we will get cardiff. i bet you fifteen peanuts.
can we start a list of the most arognat footballers?
1. anderson
2. fabregas
3. rio ferdinand
3. Petrov Arognat
cristiana milian-ronaldo
18. Lehmann
^ yeah
I'd understand people saying Nani after Saturday, but I don't see how Anderson acted particularly arrogantly.
fuck
I meant to reply to the post below, soz
I think Meths is confused
really? why?
he seems like a very good player
I concur
bit of attitude from time to time, but he is still very very young
Kudos to Lincoln City ladies
in the semi-finals of the cup after beating Blackburn IN A MASSIVE SHOCK.
VIVA THE LADYCUP.
Out!

BEST NEW LIPSTER STORY:
YES, A STORY. NOT A THREAD ON A MESSAGE BOARD.
I FANCY A FAT MAN ON THE TELLY!!!!!1
HELL. YES.
http://www.thelipster.com/articles/2931917
Wow, that was the first time I've see Lipster.
The stories read like an Onion parody of a woman's magazine.
Exactly. It's pretty much the funniest site on the entire internet.
It's not even news! It's a FEATURE
Chicks, eh?
oh dear god
YOU'RE NOT WRONG!
Nani took the piss a bit
and was a right cock, but when you're losing 4-0 and you are being mocked left right and centre and you lose it, you just look like the lowest denomination of cunt in the world. Where was this passion when it was actually needed eh? Take a beating like a man I say (and being a QPR fan I can tell you I've had plenty of practice!)
^ Not for much longer
though, I hope!
Too true
Though our defence could do with, I dunno, maybe 4 players who can actually defend. Then we will tear people apart
The Nani keep-it-up
was the best bit. I don't understand how thats taking the piss? Was he just meant to give the ball back?
it was very funny
I meant he was taking the piss out of the Arsenal players
Don't get me wrong, if I had the talent, I would do the exact same thing
and why not?
of course arsenal never celebrate in others misfortunes.

Other points
I saw more successfully completed passes in the opening 5 minutes of Man U Arsenal, than in the whole of Southampton vs Lethal Brizzle
The Motson/Lawrenson
commentary and constant harping on about Rooney was extremely annoying. Whilst he played well he missed quite a few chances and wasn't MOM imo.
If you have a 'red button'
press it and use 5 live commentary. It's usually the lesser of 2 evils.
Motson is beyond past it now. I'm starting to wonder if he was ever any good.
he needs to retire and quickly
Lawrenson needs to drown and quickly
I actually hate Motson
ho ho ho
sheepskin coat, lots of boring stats, ho ho ho
And that's the 17th pass Wes Brown has completed against Arsenal from right to left in a second half
...unless it's alan green
who is a CUNT.
You're right
Nani, Anderson and Fletcher played better than Rooney imho.
definitely
but not according to Motson who nearly had a heart attack everytime Rooney scuffed another shot
It wasn't just him
As far as I could see every Sunday paper review it was Rooney's display that enabled the result.
*report reckoned that
yeah I saw that
strange
Fletcher was having his one good game for the season
lol at The Sun
Anderson had a worse game than Park according to their ratings:
http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/sport/football/article813014.ece
Motson's commentary was yet again cringeworthy on Saturday. Rooney squandered three or four decent chances - he played well but I didn't think he was anywhere near MOM. Still in shock at Fletcher's performance.
Very funny to watch Wenger getting stroppy about Nani's showboating. Football is supposed to be about skill so I don't see the problem, surely Flamini should be getting stick for trying to chop him in half. As should Gallas for that pathetic kick.
Yeah if you're going to kick someone
FUCKING KICK THEM! No half measures. You've got yourself angry enough to lash out, do it properly motherfucker
he's moaning about the
pitch as well
A lot of those ratings are done by people who didn't attend the game
Shock horror!
a funny Mitchell and Webb clip:

:D
"watch the football, watch it move!"
haha. good one.
:D
It's like Domgourley's dream come true
Hi!
Anyone know the way to McDons, Northampton or Yeovil? I'm planning my route for away games next year.
Football can go fuck itself in the ear. Thanks
turn left at the lights
straight on until you see wickes, then take a right. keep going and next to the second pub you pass.
Cheers!
What are the pies like?
pukka
probably.
Don't ever, ever talk to me again
I'd like to second the motion for football to be fucked in the ear
Northampton scored double the amount of goals against us yesterday than we have in the last 7 games. Literally the worst stat I have ever heard.
The FA Cup Draw numbers are:
1 Bristol Rovers
2 Cardiff City
3 Sheffield United or Middlesbrough
4 Barnsley
5 Manchester United
6 Portsmouth
7 West Bromwich Albion
8 Chelsea
Here's hoping for "Number 8...Chelsea, will play.......Number 5...The Rags"
United v Portsmouth
Barnsley v Chelsea
gettin!
semi final here we come, 2 in a row please. thanks
i can't imagine anything worse than seeing Boro in another final
I'd put every penny i've got that United & Chelsea will avoid eachother if they both get through, the old hot ball trick.
Anyone but Boro, for me.
That's about
100 consecutive all Prem ties involving Man United now...
^ this
The BBC are fixing it to allow Motson 90 minutes of Rooney-induced pensioner masturbation.
were Burton Albion a premiership side ?
it's about time
think of all the easy draws they've had over the years. plus, most of them have been at home anyway.
What easy draws?
-
Coventry, Southend, Burton, Crewe, Barnet, Exeter, Millwall, Northampton - that's just going back five season.
Seeing how far they tend to get in the FA Cup
that's probably not a huge percentage of the matches they have played.
To be fair Millwall was the final though
There's not a lot they can do about that. And to get there they beat Villa, Man City, Fulham and Arsenal.
we've been drawn against Premiership opposition
for the last 11 consecutive Cup games. Compare that to Liverpool's draws this season - Luton, Havant and Barnsley (lol).
I'm reasonably happy with today's draw, mind.
I can't believe
that one out of WBA and Bristol Rovers will be in the semi-final. Time to abolish this ridiculous competition!
Aldershot 3 Stevenage 1 last night
Massive result and effectively makes the Blue Square Premier a two-horse race now. We were brilliant in the first half hour but we did let them back into it a bit in the second.
The big game now is Torquay away on the 4th March, although even after that there's 12 or 13 league games left (46-game seasons are real marathons).
I'm fairly sure
that watching Man United Vs Arsenal was one of my favourite football games ever. Now I don't really like Man Utd all that, but I believe I could tolerate the black death more willingly than I can Arsenal. So that was a perfect Saturday.
Hopefully next Sunday will be better.
Also, Sheffield United Joke Freekicks FTW
