Doctors say we're supposed to have carbs otherwise our bones will go all crap when we're old, do the carbs in beer count?

Beer is carbonated

not carbohydrate.. Although it probably is that too.

thats what I mean

carbohydrate

Sort of

Although there's two types of carbohydrates - low-GI and high-GI. I dunno which type you get in beer.

Then

you just want less of them.

There's no way you can have

the carbs that are in beer in order to lose a couple of pounds then...

You could drink low carb beer

Half the calories you get in a normal one

Is that like eating low fat cheese?

half the calories, half the fun.

I dunno

Never appealed to me. Only heard of it when advertised at me while marathon training and I was supposed to be eating loads of extra carbs instead. Dave Bedford didn't think that sponsorship deal through.

D'oh!

I might try and find some low fat beer for Sunday.

You mean for your decorate the house party?

Not sure I'll be able to make that now. Will let you know tomorrow evening.

Yeah

although I'm too ill to decorate. And we've got a bathroom door at last. Yee-ha!

It's a kind of come if you can be arsed type of party anyway...

I kinda liked your binbag door

Probably for the best if devonmalcolm and beer are involved though.

devonmalcolm

won't be involved as he's in Norfolk for the weekend....

Well that seals it...

I'll definitely be there then.

AND TO START PLAYING FOOTBALL AGAIN

SO I DON'T HAVE TO PLAY IN GOAL ANY MORE!

10 days,

that's all. 10 days. (Hopefully).

low then

as it'll give a release of energy over a longer period, so you won't be as hungry/low energy as soon.

HAHAHAHA PERIOD.

low GI

means low glycemic index, basically that your blood absorbs the sugar from the food slower (ie more gradual release) than a high GI food. processed foods tend to have a higher GI than non processed (eg brown to white bread)

Anything involving beer is a positive.

There are no negatives so my answer is yes. :)

Alcohol fanciers who want to lose weight

should stick to vodka and diet coke. You can potentially avoid 150-200 calories per drink.

I drink loads of beer but

I still manage not to gain weight, although If I eat loads I do put the weight on.

although the effect of alcohol

on the metabolism has arguably the biggest say in the matter

Aye. For anyone looking to lose weight

the alcohol is nearly always the best place to start.
