Favourite album?

I'm gonna say End Hits

mainly cuz it was the first one I bought.

Closely followed by In on The Kill Taker

(Is this a common post on DiS? I'm fairly new here but have noticed alot of people like fugazi)

13 songs

I havn't listened to repeater enough though. Red medicine is ok but I havn't listened to that a lot either.

13 songs is

better than Repeater I'd say. Alot of people big up Repeater but i think its average

End Hits.

It's their masterpiece.

woo!

It is amazing. I wasn't sure if its just cuz i listened to it for 3 years before i heard any other fugazi songs.

I discovered fugazi from an issure of 411VM (skate video magazine) when i was about 12.

Gooooooood story

It was the third album

of Fugazi I heard. And I've heard four. So you can trust my opinion ;)

cool

that band sounds okay.

Whats your favourite album?

By who?

fugazi?

...and Life at these Speeds??

The Argument, probably.

Both LATS are good, but To Your Health is my favourite.

Maybe start a Tom Waits one instead

there aren't enough of those.

mine would be

The Arguement, End Hits or In on the Kill Taker

or Repeater

it's a pretty tough question really

the argument

the argument
the argument
the argument
the argument

red medicine

hmmm

probably end hits, followed by in on the kill taker, steady diet of nothing, the arguement,13 songs, Repeater and 3 sons, red medicine, instrument

13 songs

or argument

the argument

it's fantastisch

I'd go

steady diet of nothing (first one i heard)
The Argument
Red Medicine

not just one...

maybe instrument or the argument...though red medicine is awfully good too.

In on the Killtaker and red medicine

I love all of them though. Steady diet is my least favourite.

"One two three....

....REPEATER!!!"

Saw them in '92. Wish they'd come back...

i can never get into fugazi

i find Minor Threat really refreshing, but extending the anti-rock philosophy past quick hardcore songs and into, well, rock songs just seems really sterile to me. Rock music is rooted in the whole sex and drugs thing, and I don't see the mileage in Fugazi's approach... too much sobriety. Maybe it's my imagination but they sound a bit uptight and inhibited - it is possible to be too restrained.

That said, it might just be because I don't like the guitar sound.

^

Maybe they need a drink! LOL. I kinda admire their "non drinking, non-smoking, non-fucking people around" approach myself...

i think you missed the point...

Fugazi play rock music. Whilst I find the idea of rock music played without (m)any of the original sentiments and intentions fairly interesting, when you factor in several albums and legions of copycat bands it quickly loses its appeal to me. There isn't much in the way of musical progression, and I find it quite ironic when Ian McKaye plays a blues riff when that philosophy is so different from his own.

Have you listened to Red Medicine?

That one always seems to be the 'odd' album that people who aren't that bothered get into.

don't think so...

i've definitely heard 13 Songs, In On The Killtaker and Instrument, i might've heard Repeater too but they've never really interested me. The Ian McKaye stuff on 13 Songs is pretty good in that anthemic sense that he loves so much, but that record really could do with a remaster...

In on the killtaker

Then (probably) Repeater - Argument - Red Medicine - 13 Songs - End Hits - Steady Diet

I think...

The Arguement

I know it might not technically be their 'best', but I can't stop listening to it...

PS - VOTE :

whose says foo-gay-zee
and who says foo-gah-zee?

foo-gah-zee

Tell me there aren't actually people out there who use the other option!
