Yes, i am old fashioned and have waited until the CD is out in the shops before going and buying it. i'm tempted to say i won't sleep until i own a copy. i feel like i should be camped outside Resident or something. i've not been this exuberant about an album's release for too long a time.

today feels like an 'event'. You know? No album release has felt like that to me in a long time, and not for lack of good music around.
I'm American
and it comes out sometime in April over here. But I did find it for about $15, so I should have it soon! I'm forcing myself to waiting until I get the cd to hear it.
How on earth is this an 'event'?
Are they selling it via an honesty box in which you can deposit as many soiled ATP ticket stubs and glitter as you like?

I was really looking forward to it.
But the two interviews (on here and at the Guardian) have put me off the band to a considerable degree.
I may well still buy it but I don't know whether I'll be able to enjoy something I previously enjoyed as "pure" joyous pop music celebrating the love of being alive in quite the same way as I would've before...

What was bizarre about that though
was that El Guincho got 8.3 and got on Best New Music, but Los Campesinos got 8.4, and didn't. And also the one which didn't isn't a massive rip-off of Panda Bear. Hmmmm...
