Die Kreuzen were one of the best bands of the 80s, not many bands did that whole post-hardcore thing that well. Maybe Husker Du, mind. I also listened to Zen Arcade this week. The twin guitar solos on "Pink Turns To Blue"... ouch. The position that has on the record too, it's almost like they KNEW they couldn't follow that. Everything after it is just the comedown.

Afrirampo's new record is really great, might be the best thing they've done but I've only listened to it once. They still have that sense of fun, but the record sounds more serious than their older stuff. 'Mature' might be the word but that's a horrible term so I'll never use it.
