I randomly decided to check The Notwist's website, and see that they are playing at the ICA on the 6th June! Excellent! & so I've just bought my tickets from the ICA site.
Hope there are other fans of them here. I recently got their Neon Bible dvd, which just helped to remind me how much I love that album. Gosh I can't wait for their new album.

great news!

!

I'm

also downloading their Lichter ep which I was informed about from Boomkat, but have seen is cheaper on their Alien Transistor label/website.
Other than that, Neon Bible, and 12, I don't have any other Notwist stuff (not including 13&God), although I always keep meaning to find out which of their stuff is good, and which is just their crazy old sound that I probably wouldn't like.

i've got nook

i think it's called, something like that. it's not very good. boring grunge/metal with nothing really stand out or wow about it.

thanks

I shall avoid that one then. They have a self-titled album, which I guess may make it their first album? Which would probably be best to avoid to. & the only other album is Shrink, which I don't know if it is good or not.
Their Solo Swim ep will probably be a purchase at some point I think, seeing as that was a recen'ish one that I ignored.

.

just thought i'd bump this for any daytime reading folk.

Good

effort

Shrink is great

like a work in progress for Neon Golden, a bit more straight forward but the elements for what came next are all there, thoroughly recommended :)

where are tickets on sale, and is there hope of a new album?

tickets are from

www.ica.org.uk
£10, plus £1 fee.
I think their new album will be on their Alien Transistor label, but can't remember where I read that.

there are never too many

unless they're on the same date.

Thanks

for the heads up.

nice one

does this mean they have a new album coming out?

note to self

read original posts properly in future

The Notwist- London 6th June

Does anyone have any tickets for sale for the Notwist concert at the ICA? It sold out unbelievable fast...

how have they sold out?

the band hasn't had anything out in ages and are generally under the radar, it's very surprising, are they quite big?

Also, think there's a new song up on pitchfork (I think, check elbo.ws) called Good Lies - doesn't suggest a huge development in their sound to be honest but it's still good

i like it

The other new song that's leaked 'Alphabet' sounds pretty cool too :)

i guess they have a pretty cult following/ the ica's not that big is it?

it's probs one of the shows i'm most looking forward to in the coming months!

The whole album's leaked now...

Though I am resisting.

I've only

listened to Good Lies from their label's site, but I'll wait until the album's release to listen to the rest of it. Really can't wait to listen to it.
& coo at the gig selling out already. Am also looking forward to that a lot also.

re: how have they sold out?

that's what I want to know. I am actually German so I know and have been listening to them for ages and have seen many gigs. I can only assume that the ICA isn't that big after all and a lot of people must have heart of them by now...
