we're looking for someone commited, who will be able to rehearse at least one evening a week in Balham (SW London) and gig regularly. backing vox are important too, you don't have to be able to sing, as long as yr confident vocalising in some way. our last bassist was a lady, so if you are too that would be great, so as to keep the backing vox consistent - but is in no way a dealbreaker.
we like: future of the left, battles, futureheads, fugazi, shellac, pixies, devo, drive like jehu, part chimp, oxes and the rest.
we're hoping to orgainse a short tour this august to promote the album we've just finished recording with our old bassist. but this all depends on how quickly we find someone.
we have a myspace, but the songs on it are fairly old (late '06) and we've moved on it since then (they were recorded with the bassist previous to the one who has just left us).
if yr interested email me at garethjsthomas[AT]hotmail.co.uk and i'll send you more details and some rough mixes of our new recordings.
COMMITMENT IS MORE IMPORTANT THAN TALENT!

so...
we're still looking for people! please get in touch!
I
Play bass and like some of the bands you like.
I'm not
very confident with the vocals but, that can be arranged.
You've
got mail!
Get
the bassist from Pigshackle. He likes you lots and he's dead good. Plus, he was once in a production of Lionel Bart's timeless Dickens interpretation, 'Oliver!'. There aren't enough cool points on the world for that man.
Bonne chance
we
would love to get Ollie in, he's a top fella, but i heard he has long term travel plans?
Oh.
Well he never told me. Forget that cunt.
No, leave me alone. I'm sulking now.
Good luck, though.
