just listened to some of it again, and i was wrong. I actually think this is their greatest achievment, definitely the best thing i've heard in a long time. Album of the year? Without doubt

It's a great record. They could have kept on doing the same post hardcore/math/prog thing forever but they have chosen to move on. Good decision.

It's exactly what I wanted from Youthmovies. They're one of those few bands who keep adapting their sound, and I'm forever catching up.

great, great album after one spin. surtsey is a wonderful album closer, really raucous and concludes the cd nicely. will give it a couple more listens today but so far it's about 8 or 9 out of 10.
