THE LENNY SMALLMAN SINGER / SONGWRITER COMPETITION
Following its previous productions of 'The Fall & Rise of Lenny Smallman', set at a music festival, Cloud Ten are now producing a short run of the show in London's West End - at the Arts Theatre, Leicester Sq, from April 22nd.
Time Out Critics Choice – 'Best plays in London'
We are looking for a new & exciting singer-songwriter to play a 30-minute set to open each performance during the first week of the show. The competition will be held over three heats in February, March & April, with a final to be held on Sunday 6th April.

Successful applicants will be invited to attend one of the heats.
RULES & CONDITIONS
Each entrant will perform two or three songs [to be advised on the night], all of which must be original - no covers.
The entrant can be accompanied by a maximum of one other musician.
The winner will be chosen on the night by a panel of industry judges, whose decision is final.
The winner will be offered the opening slot of 'The Fall & Rise of Lenny Smallman' at the Arts Theatre, London, and must be available to perform for half an hour from 7pm, Tuesday 23rd to Sunday 27th April, including Saturday & Sunday matinees [3.00 pm] & Press Night [wed 24th, 6.30 pm]. A payment will be paid for each performance to cover basic expenses. Runners-up may be offered the chance to perform at later performances of the run.
The three heats will be held at The Arts Theatre [Upstairs] at 7pm on Sunday 17th Feb, Sunday 16 March, & Sunday 23 April. At least two winners from each heat will be invited to go through to the final on Sunday 6 April. Inclusion in the heats is by invitation only.
Soundchecks will be available from 5.45 pm. These will be offered on a first come-first served basis. A running order for the competition will only be decided following soundchecks. Late arrivals may result in the forfeiting of a soundcheck.
All microphones, PA etc will be provided. The entrant will be responsible for their own instruments.
Entry to the competition is free. No guest list can be offered for the heats or the final. Tickets for guests will be available on the door for £5.
Entrants must be over 18.
