Re: Neils Children

I admit they are so hip it hurts and although the recorded stuff is OK I quite enjoyed them live.

Re: Neils Children

I played on the same bill as them once. I just remember men shouting and playing guitar. Not a single impression of them remains in my mind except this.

=

They are a bad band.

And they have shit badges.

Re: Neils Children

One of the worst band of the moment.
But there's so much choice in this category...

Re: Neils Children

i really like them.

i'd go as far to say that they're fantastic, in fact.

Re: Neils Children

underachieving scenesters,

must say I didnt mind the recent single tho

Re: Neils Children

Shit, totally shit!

Re: Neils Children

our guitarist sees them on the train all the time and he lives in the london hinterlands yet they pretend to come from Dalsotn or something - thought I Hate Models was ok but the Poptones thing makes them instantly hateable by the looks of thing

and they are FAR better than the Towers of Crap

Re: Neils Children

They seemed decent enough chaps when I interviewed em t'other week, and they certainly didn't pretend to come from London! They actually exposed most of the "London scene" bands as being from outside of the area and were quick to point out they originate from Cheshunt. As for their music. yeah maybe its a tad derivative but then who isn't? For excitement and energy they're one of the best live bands in the UK at the minute.

Re: Neils Children

wel its not their fault they probably have to pretend to be junkies from Hackney marshes - am just going on what i've heard and have no real dislike for them at all - as I said I liked thair last single - I just think people's hostiliy coimes form the fact that are on Poptones and their PR is a bit 'fantastic' when you think of it!

Re: Neils Children

Probably the most un-Poptones sounding band on that label though (even if they do cover the PiL song of the same name).

Re: Neils Children

yes, very true - hence why I was rather surprised that they ended up on there!

Re: Neils Children

I like them. Saw them last week and they were good.
