the offspring

usually met with silence

I say:

Radiohead. Pavement. The Hold Steady.

Mark my words, one day The Hold Steady is going to be greeted with more than blank stares.

Granted, with the company I keep with, I say Pavement, they say what?

Also:

The Offspring rocks. Don't beat yourself up for it.

The Boxer Rebellion

Which is usually responded with a "wha?" and a perplexed expression. Two years ago I'd have said Muse.

i dunno

i dont have one

all music is shit.

Hmmm

Good point

My friends around the country

know that the Beatles are always up at the top, so at the moment I tend to answer with The Byrds.

I normally say Radiohead

Unless the person in question looks like they know something about music in which case i'll rattle off a few bands they've never heard of, making me look better than them!! Hahaha :D

i generally say

i dont know but i can tell you whats in my cd player right now.

I Say

my own band, then proceed to swagger out of the place and tip over some tables or two.

Neutral Milk Hotel

probably

Eels

or Bob Dylan. Or the National. It changes depending on my mood, but it's more Dylan these days that the others.

"Probably Elliott Smith or DJ Shadow"

If they stare at me blankly then I realise that the subject should be changed to something they understand. Or I spit on them an walk away.

i reel off a

list of about 7/8

You don't care.

Nothing

I usually stutter and find it hard to say what I actually like. Then I try to change the conversation.

some bands i like

but i always manage to forget a few

I normally say a band I hate and if they like them

then they have failed the test and I have to kill them.
