Edinburgh seven-piece Broken Records, much championed by DiS these past few months following Billy Hamilton's awesome live review of last October, are to release their debut single proper following this 9/10 demo EP on April 14.
'If The News Makes You Sad, Don't Watch It' is released via Young Turks (Jack Penate, Gang Gang Dance, Holy Fuck) - bodes well for the future, that. NME are on record as saying the band are "awesome". They speak the truth.
The band play their first-ever London show tomorrow, March 11, at the Soho Revue Bar; full dates as follows (including a free-entry DiScover Club date on April 5).
March
11 London Soho Revue Bar
13 London 229
21 Leeds Cockpit
April
4 London Camden Barfly
5 London DiScover Club @ NHAC (free entry, full details)
12 Dublin Button Factory
May
15 Brighton The Great Escape
