hmm

thanks for the heads up. Have they scaled things down this year? I'm sure it used to last more than three days, plus the line up isn't enticing me as much as previous years

Thanks to FOPP sponsering Triptych last year

I got to see Damo Suzuki live for free on my 21st birthday! (and Ratatat and CSS the day after)

Triptych ist good!

no its not as great

but been wanting to see dirty projectors and jamie lidell for a while.

Triptych also means its the start of festival season in edinburgh.
this then the film festival then 'the' festival

yeah not so good

as previous years from my point of view. but a few things worth checking out none the less.

I love Triptych

best festival north of Camber Sands, shame you can't buy a ticket for the whole thing! I'm looking forward to Dirty Projectors hella lots. Even though the lineup isn't as wowamazing as other years, i hardly ever make it to everything i want anyway!

well i see you there

if you going to the cab vol friday date.

pretty gutted skeletons aren't playing in edinburgh

Its the day before my birthday

so yes i will be there, there will be celebrating. I love how triptych is ALWAYS on my birthday too, makes for good birthday gigs.

although

the glasgow date actually on my birthday looks amazing. maybe i'll go to that..hmmm

go to that!

my mates band are playing

he didnt mention that even though i spent the whole weekend staying at his house.. i might come up for it

which band

?

the parsonage

..no one exciting really

actually just looking at the full line up

i know quite a few people playing and djing

I am definitely going to go to dirty projectors

and probably going to go to andrew bird, and maybe mogwai and magik markers. yes.

that glasgow

mogwai, clinic dirty projectors magik markers show looks ace if only it didn't clash with jamie lidel

slightly gutted

at the complete lack of bass clef in edinburgh

dirty projectors and errors i reckon should be alright..

yay

I'm going to be up there for the Friday -> Sunday, so looking forward to what this year has to offer.

time to go see where i'll need to stay for the weekend.

looks like glasgow is the place to be

for saturday & sunday's all day type things.

seems substantially scaled down which is a shame really.

YES!!!!

YES YES YES YES YES

Hmm

the Mogwai, DP, Clinic, Errors show looks like it could be good. Tramway's pretty small though, eh

I will go

and see chrome hoof and bass clef but I am really not that fussed about anyone else.

Wow. Pretty disappointing

Line up then.

is this may?

everything's going on in may.

oh, it's april

...

is this

the last year the festival will run?

piss poor

line up, I think we're lucky there's always decent gigs going on most of the time so no need to complain

Yeah, i think it may be

I noticed a 'last ever' party going on in Glasgow. Guess Tennents will plough all the money into T In The Park instead.

real shame if it is the last year

but given the name of the show on the final night....

yeah, the line up isn't a patch on previous years apart from the two all day/evening type affairs in Glasgow.

Not sure why it has gone to pot, funding/sponsorship I guess, as previously I'd have said almost all the shows I'd been to had been pretty full (but then maybe the others have been poorly attended).

oh no!

I didn't know that. It would really be a great shame to lose Triptych.
I am deeply excited about:

SAT 26.4.08
3.00pm Mogwai, Clinic, Dirty Projectors, Malcolm Middleton, Errors, Frightened Rabbit, Magik Markers, Correcto, RememberRemember Tramway
Glasgow £21.00 BOOK NOW

as just the other day I was thinking it's been quite a while since I saw Mogwai. I'd like to see a David Shrigley DJ set too - he has good taste from what I can gather.

^ i want to hit that

but £22.50 is alot given i've seen Mogwai and Dirty Projectors several times each in the past 18 months

^ that sounds pretty special ^

I MUST CLEAR MY SCHEDULE.
