Gnarls Barkley’s new album has been dragged forward a few weeks after some blighter leaked the thing online.
The Odd Couple was due to arrive through Downtown/Universal on the 8th of April, but you can get it online now or at shops later this week after label bosses got wind of digital treachery.
The band chose not to focus on the leak, instead wheeling out a spokesperson to explain that Cee-Lo Green and Danger Mouse "felt the timing was right to just go for it – with the shifting seasons, furtive romantic entanglements and fierce college basketball rivalries, the latter half of March can be confusing.
“People need to be soothed and inspired now."
Have you heard the record? Have you been soothed and inspired? The facility to DiScuss such things is below.

i've not heard it
i'm not likely to run out and get it, i'm not likely to download it to check it out either. It's a bit odd releasing such a big name 'we're aiming for number one' type album like this. it might hinder their chances. I dunno...
i don't think
they care about number one really, or charts.
That's just the way their label market them, if you check out Dangermouse's other stuff he clearly couldn't give a shit about chart ratings, i hope this is a good album.
^ It's pretty good
I was pleasently suprised :)
^ Agreed.
It's pretty good, liked St. Elsewhere a bit better, only given it 1 listen but it sounded pretty good! Look forward to listening to it more - but I have to much music to listen to right now to listen to it over and over. Definitely check it out though.
