Playing at the queen charlotte pub on Dereham Rd, Norwich, April 6th, Peter & the Wolf who played at Latitude 07 are back again to grace us with their lo-fi songs that cling between fleeting moments of past relationships exploring them like a precious secret.

This time they are touring with Manchester/London based Planet Earth who with disarmingly wide eyed tenderness challenge the skepticism that lurks within.
Both bands are not to be missed, and tickets are £3 in advance and £4 on the door.

However we are looking for perhaps a couple more East-Anglian bands who might like to play as support at this gig to turn it into a musical feast...so as well as a post for the gig, I am also extending tentacles outwards towards anyone who is in a band that would like to play in what is bound to be a heartwarming evening of musical joy.

For Fucks sake

there is never anything ever in Norwich on the weekends and on this one day there are two bloody events, the other being Holy Fuck at the art centre - I reccomend Mat Riverie if your looking for additional supports, seems to fit the bill and imagine he wouldn't want anything in return

Ta very much

cheers for that, I just sent him a myspace so fingers crossed. It is really weird that more people don't put on gigs in Norwich at the weekends considering how easy it is and that there is such high demand. It sounds like you are sold to the Holy Fuck gig already, but Ive put tickets in soundclash if you change your mind.

I would question the demand

In norwich it can often be a huge risk, it'll either be rammed or empty, the 'scene' in norwich is incredibly fractured between different cliques additionally there is a real lack of decent venues, in my humble opinion the queen charlotte is a bit of a shithole, he really needs to get rid of the pool table and have a real think about the layout of the venue, i have yet to go to a properly decent gig there

its just a pub with a stage

it aint bad.

on the subject of bands to play.. my friends are in a band called voyagers... http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewprofile&friendid=355314306

they are playing the queen charlotte a few weeks later, but i mean you should consider them. theyre good.

i reccomend

master solo for support, he's a legend.

Norwich Folks, dont forget youthmovies next thursday!!!!

The Queen charlotte is the best small venue norwich has, calling it a shithole compared to the likes of the marquee and b2 is like saying a golden egg is worse than one made of tripe.
