so i'm going to see the whip and then to totally wired on saturday night and then on monday the discover sheffield thing.

is anyone else going to either of those?
i'm really excited!!

Er....I've no idea!

The Harley is a first-class poo-hole but it should be a good night regardless. DQ (where you'll be on Saturday) is pretty good, and it's just down the road from the Washington pub, which is ace.

i am relying on a sheffield resident to show me the sights. see i'm from chesterfield (actually there at the moment, leeds tomorrow) and haven't been out in shef since ummm i was 18, so we're talking nearly 3 years ago now. it's gonna be nice for a change.

i heard

that once a bride was so pure that the church spire bent down to get a closer look. and also the devil jumped from bolsover onto the spire and bent it.

i also heard when they made it the wood was damp and it bent, but that's totally crazy it can't be true!

it would have to be when i'm bloody at home for easter and not in my flat in sheffield which is 2 minutes walk away from the harley though >:(

If I do end up going i'll be on my own too, which is rubbish. My friends are useless :(

if it's at plug on a saturday

they usually stick bands on between 7pm and 10pm because they're stupid and it was much better when they opened at 10pm and the bands were on later

and the wired thing is either there or bungalows and bears i think :-s Agreed though, it's lame that plug put bands on so much earlier now - that much time spent on dj sets after the band without anything to break it up gets pretty dull

i think some promoters called 'children for breakfast' have some easter/halloween (no, really) thing going on at bungalows and bears too that night - maybe a merged event. And looks like doors for the whip are at 8. No idea of stage times but probably too early for me!
