is their record actually called NO COVER ART? or is it just a slogan?

cos if so its clearly a case of a shit band trying everything they can for credibility even if it is pointless. i mean really, what is wrong with cover art? its a chance to be creative visually aswell as musically. it should be championed not destroyed.

ps hard fi suck my slightly lower than the right, but thats ok, its supposed to be, left testicle

AND

System of a Down already did it.

Along with probably a host of other bands.

The album's actually called

"Once Upon a Time in the West", but you're right, the cover is shit. The problem is that the slogan IS cover art, thereby rendering it useless - it would be a better statement if they left it blank white.

Perhaps they were being ironic.

i think irony is a concept

that hard fi will struggle to grasp, in that it contains more than one syllable.

yeh, as cover art in itself it is redundant.
and as a slogan, its worse than redundant because its just needless showing off about something thats not even worth showing off about

at least SOAD's record had different cd designs.

i imagine even the hard fi band members faces are exactly the same, they probably spawned from the same flake of skin from paul wellers face

the best was the white one

that just looked like a cd-r

what have hard-fi got to do with Paul Weller?

Apart from both being not very interesting.

It's a bit stupid.

And the album is shit.

It reminds me of

a sticker I saw on the tube that said 'destroy all advertising'.

Yeah... nice work there, douchebag.

this gives me an idea....

a massive spraypainted sign saying fuck graffiti. its about as 'clever'

wow, you picked up on this late.

have you not seen their whole marketing campaign? it's an embarrassment.

i found..

the man who did their marketing campaigns bag.. whilst trying to find an address to contact i saw all the rough ideas for this album.. like all the ideas he went through before this one.

I kid you not.

the first time

i saw it was some guy wearing a NO COVER ART tshirt in cork airport over easter. i was not amused. in fact i spent the flight ranting about the man and his crappy shirt

Surely there was cover art?

If there was actually no cover art, they'd put it in a see through case with an unmarked CD in it.

Though I believe AFX (Aphex Twin) did this sometime in the early 2000s.
