MTV2 wins

because of 120 Minutes

Exact-fucking-ly noise_annoys

Plus it has Strutter.

BTV or bedroomTV as its also known

is a music tv revolution my friend. Sad housewives and lonely geeks miming to take that and my chemical romance? YOU GOT IT

This is the correct answer

to any question of the best music channel.

bedroom TV makes for uncomfortable viewing

old, bald people miming along to bachman turner overdrive? hell yeah.

Unbelievably

NME TV is actually better for variety in the daytime.

120 Minutes is indeed the king of all music TV though. If only I had Sky+...

Well

anything is better than regular mtv or vh1. remember the good old days when they actually played music videos during the day, and had shows actually about music. Now it is all fucking reality shows, about preppy little airheads. Sorry got worked up there.

ahhhh I remember the

days of just one MTV channel, had to wait all week for 120 minutes fronted by Paul King of King "Love and Pride" fame. its still an ace show though fairdos..

Switched MTV2 on today

MTV2 Loves Scandinavia! half hour, featuring 'Tick Tick Boom' by The Hives, 'You And Me Song' by The Wannadies, 'That Great Love Sound' by The Raveonettes and 'Toxic Girl' by Kings of Convenience.

It's not always that good is it? S'been a while since I last saw it...

I don't have 'NME TV'

But I imagine it's dire

MTV for '120 minutes', I agree
I'm also fond of 'DIY Disco'
And '100% MTV2' can throw up some good tracks

I hate 'The Rock Top 10' though, and I hate the metal bit they have, I can't remember what it's called but they have '120 Metal Minutes' sometimes too

It makes me cry

120 minutes is a great show

NMETV is cack.

MTV2 played Milk Lizard

by the Dillinger Escape plan the other day which was a rather pleasant surprise

they win

120 minutes

is the finest of all music shows.
its the only thing I miss since I gave up cable.

The few times I've seen NME TV

they've been playing Oasis and The Enemy...it's worse than Q!

Yeah, but they just played the Cure

Whilst the Q music channel are playing Mr Blobby.

MTV2

used to be brilliant about 8 or 9 years ago when it had no adverts, no playlists and was full of viewer-compiled hour-long playlists. It's unwatchable now.

Q is awful!

Every time I flick through it's playing Mika or Scouting For Girls

I used to like VH2 and then they turned that into MTV fucking Flux

This is correct.

Now they pander to the "alternative" which is now the mainstream. MTV2 is like MTV for now. I vote for MTV3. Yup, endless indie (proper indie), post-rock and post-hardcore, with hours of electronica and live shows every night at 8pm.

m2 ftw

every single time i turn on nme tv

without fail, the wombats are playing. there have been 3 exceptions to this, one was kate nash, two were oasis. mtv2 would have to be in a pretty sorry state to lose to that. 120 minutes is still great, and you can occasionally see a pretty good video even during the day.

NME TV is actually pretty good, believe it or not.

I watched it for ten minutes before and they played Neon Neon, MGMT & Late of the Pier.

both play good videos sometimes

just flick through

I think MTV2 is overall the better channel

though they are a bit keen on chart-friendly emo for my liking.

MTV2... Just

I think NMETV plays a better quality of music, although MTV2 gives more variety, and MTV2 has Gonzo, so MTV2... Just.

oihoi

in the day time time nme tv is much more tolerable, plays a bigger variety of old and new (but is still ultimately a bit naff). However 120 minutes is the best tv show for new music hands down.

There is an NME TV?

Since when?

I remember the good old days

where it was called M2. That was pure bliss.
