Been listening to this on repeat last few days and have come to the conlcusion that it is incredibly special, a potential album of the year methinks.
Simply gorgeous stuff!

and have been 'previewing' it. After listening though, I am getting it as son as it's released, its fucking ace. Not out till mid-aApril I think but not quite sure...

you might like to direct me to said blog....I'd really like to hear this
I think it's been removed from the blog by looks of it..

uh oh
It's out
April 14th
It's good, but not that good.
Some nice moments on it, really hazy 80s sound, quite Jesus and Mary Chain / MBV.
Some songs are awful though, 'UP!' is one of the worst things I've heard this year.
Not a patch on 'Dead Cities' too, they're never going to match that.
there are some elemts of 'up'
that i really like, the vocals are a shock though at first.. this album is one of those albums that is sooo good at first (and it is) but one that you couldnt just wack on anytime, its to thick with emotion and feeling.
graveyard girl is such a top tune though, probably my favourite
I'm not finding that
It was great at first listen, just getting better, and it bears up to repeated listening too imho. Sure there are bits that sound a bit cheese on toast but I think ultimately its a very strong cohesive album. You cant really compare it to Dead Cities cos that had a totally different vibe. Its fresh and summery and uplifting, what more could you want at this time of year?
very true
couleurs is the only song really comparable to dead cities (in my view) and in the context of the rest of the album i dont think it is really that strong..
I'm not dissing the album
I like it.
7/10
What about...
The second album? (name escapes me atm, keep thinking don't save us from the flames but thats a track on it not the name...)
I prefer that to Dead cities...
I think I'll have to make Dead cities my afternoon listening...
Up!
Saturdays = Youth = overdramatic = overproduced = overly 80's = OVERLY AWESOME
I think Up! will a hot-point of discussion, with extreme like, or extreme dislike depending on tastes.. I think especially for fans of Kate Bush (hello!) this song is amazing - but "if i clean my rockets, we'll go flying today"
yeah it's cheeseball, but damn it's pretty
i love this
album
kim & jessie
graveyard girl
both amazing
some ubercheese on there but it works
Too EMO-tional
Most tracks in the albums are lazy exercises on drama. The perfect balance between despair, paranoia and aesthetically pleasant noise is gone, what is left for the most part is (few exceptions thought) an over produce and barely distorted emo-tional record...
