What's your favourite musical trademark of a band/artist?

i.e thom yorke "wailing"
conor oberst's fringe

Mine is Morrissey chewbacca noise that he does.
You can hear this at about 1:30 in "hairdresser on fire" and at various other points in the song, if you're bothered.
God it's amazing. I'd probably do literally anything he told me to. Even jump off a cliff or eat meat or like poo or something. because i love him

you?

THIS IS A GOOD THREAD

i really just wanted to talk about morrissey. I love morrissey. yeah I do. What are everyone else's opinion on morrissey? I don't really care unless you say you love him but it'd be interesting to tell you you're wrong if you hate him. I mean it could be fun or something so why not just post it? go on

morissey is a cunt

i wish he was never existed.
my favourite thing about him is how his hatred of immigrants drove him to be one.
bless the tart.

for a start, you're wrong

secondly, don't be a wang, and thirdly morrissey doesen't hate immigrants. And he pretty much proved it and it would be fairly obvious that he was sympathetic towards them (y'know, being a 2nd or 3rd generation immigrant himself) but just nostalgic for the culture he thought had been "lost", if you knew anything about him.

ok

i'm sorry, ill be less outspoken on matters i see on the cover on the nme from now on.

Very good.

Now you must seek penance.

...

Morrissey is a colossal chode and the only reason I'm still glad he exists is that the thought of him beaten into dirt by a gang of Nickleback-loving steakheads gives me the energy to wake up in the morning.

You're wrong

Morrissey is a beautiful and funny man.

TOO $HORT

"BEEYOTCH"

no

he stole it. nothing Snoop has done is original. the whole dog thing was nicked off George Clinton's "Atomic Dog" and the shizzy whizzy shizzle was stolen off E-40.

who did he steal his haircut off?

I wanna meet that dad.

You're right

Let's all go and listen to The Smiths and find out what music *really* is.

who invented the disco beat that all indie bands use when they want to make

their trademark "dancey first single"?

I wanna meet that dad.

low low low high

is the notes for that trademark opening line for a lot of these.
