remember them? What does everyone think of them then?
I cant decide whether i like them or whether they are a bit embarassing.

I love them
<3
Ha!
'I cant decide whether i like them or whether they are a bit embarassing.'
Yeah same here, I used to bum 'Drain the Bloo'd though
not a fan
every song i've heard sounds try too hard a bit like Hole-lite. I prefer her hubbies band. QOTSA.
i liked them when i was younger
but haven't listened in years. brody dalle is taking her time on getting stuff out with her new band. what are they called? spinnerette, or something?
spinnerette yeah
I have no idea how that's coming along though. But at least one other person from the Distillers is joining her for that.
according to wiki
the spinnerette record is supposed to be coming out this year, and the myspace page has a 'mashup' of various songs as a preview kind of thing.

nice
cheers
i think they might be cool again?
I heard them on a lame goth night recently for the first time in yeaaars, and they stood out by a mile - vocals, intensity in ten cities. Brilliant
I used to love the distillers
actually I still do, I'm looking forward to the spinerette stuff.
I like Drain the Blood.
That's about it.
I don't know, I only ever had one of their albums so perhaps I wasn't giving them enough of a chance, but the amount of screaming on it was enough to make up my mind at the time. It was sold to me as "punk", but actually seemed closer to metal.
Its pretty poppy punk
that album
with drain the blood on it is REALLY different from the previous two though. the first two are definitely punk, so i suppose that label just stuck with them for the third album even though it was something completely different.
Ah, I actually meant Sing Sing Death House.
Should have clarified.
hahah ok
That is their weakest in my opinion.
I can't decide
if I ever liked the Distillers or if it was just the halo effect from my weakness for Brody Dalle.
they were great in the way
that i wanted to fuck her. over that now though, and they were toss.
They are great live
am jealous
had two good songs
i'll decide for you:
they're embarrassing.
someone put City of Angels on the juke box last night.
Great tune, even though it sounds like Green Day to start with.
I didn't want to like them
then I caught them live and really enjoyed it. I have one album. They remind me of Hole, plus Brody is HOTT.
i was thinking about them yesterday.
i decided that i think they were pretty good. they looked like LA douchebags but they had great tunes.
this thread has inspired me to give them another listen
and they're not too bad. got some tunes so they do.
The first seven tracks on Sing Sing Death House
are GOLD
I used to like one of their songs
and the singer is very attractive in a she-could-turn-round-and-bit-my-balls-off-any-second kind of way. But then I caught another song on MTV2 this morning and it was utter shite.
I saw them twice
Once at the Astoria, when they were really good, and once at Brixton Academy when they seemed completely overwhelmed by the size of the venue and were just dull.
they are embarrassing
Buy Hole's Live Through This or L7's Smell the glove, far superior albums from female fronted bands.
I liked
City of Angels
Very Hole, though
