I saw them play an amazing show. A friend interviewed them. They had problems with the record company. They put some awesome songs on their myspace page:

Nikki was working on a solo record I heard at the same time.
Then nothing.
Anyone got any info?
good bands tend to disappear faster than bad bands
...
they were darn good
saw them support pretty girls make graves and it was a great show!!
my mate used to manage Kaito so he may know, i'll find out and repost
Nikki goes by the name of Nik Void
www.myspace.com/nikvoid. Deita and his girlfriend had a baby and occasionally do stuff as Owl Eyes. Gemma is in a band called Gggrits. Dave has disappeared (but I would love to know what he is doing).
When I last spoke to Nikki she said that the problem with the record company was that they kept pressuring the band to be more 'commercial' until neither the band nor the record company liked what was being done. There are some legal reasons why the last recorded stuff can't be released.
what I heard of owl eyes
was ace !
ahhh
they have split!!
yep
I saw Nikki at the bar at Xmas ATP and she said the same thing.
i dont know if anyone will know the answer to this
but i saw bloc party in october 2005 (think about then anyway) and im sure it was kaito who supported them?if it was then they were a fantastic live band
the gig
was at sheffield octagon (is it)
It was them
I think - they supported Bloc Party at a few gigs around then, including one I went to in London.
they were awesome
as much as i like foals, they have nicked half their drums beats off kaito if i remember correctly.especially the beginnig to hummer
Kaito's drummer
was/is amaaaazing.
yup
they supported bloc when i saw them october 05 in pompey. Seem to remember they only got about 10 minutes as the doors opened so late - wasn't too impressed then, but likewise my music taste has changed a lot since then!
That was definitely Kaito!
I was there innit, they used to be one of my favourite bands. I seem to recall they may have gone over the heads of the crowd at that gig and I spoke to them about it and I think they all found it a pretty painful experience.
I used to see Nikki around the Enterprise practice rooms at Tottenham Court Road with what I assume was her new band which may or may not have been nikvoid
...
The other Kaito is better.
What one?
There's about 15 of them.
oh bugger
the one who is signed to Komapkt.
Dave
Now plays in Magoo
