It's at this gaff called Vortex in Dalston somewhere. Never been, so I was wondering if any of you had some testimonials. And also, if you're attending the gig, say 'hey now!'

Vortex is a jazz bar.
MMMmmmm, nice.
...
Do you not like jazz?
I don't mind it, though I don't listen to it.
I actually rather lke AL, but i'm already busy this evening. Shame really as it's just round the corner from me.
...
Well just as well you're not heavy into them, it's well sold out.
Actually, let me add you to me "Folk I'm Pimping Kayo Dot To" list. Might be up your alley - lots of brutal noise, coupled with expert instrumental arrangements. Very cinematic and all. Educate yo'self, bro.
I listened to their myspace
I think I missed the 'brutal noise' part. This isn't to say I didn't enjoy it.
...
Oh, well their tunes are all 20 minutes long. I'm sure I remember 'brutal' and 'noise' somewhere.
I think I might go
I'm in a filthy mood, so I need to get outside of several cold beers.
also
I've never been to the Vortex or seen AL live, but I've been meaning to check both out for some time.
My dad's going...
I can't make it coz I'm working til 7 and wouldn't make it there in time.
If you see an oldish looking guy standing by himself, smile at him or say hello. I'm sure he'll appreciate it.
Al are great live, seen them a few times, although they'd be better in a stand up venue, whereas the vortex is a tabled, proper jazz place.
