the four and a half minute intro is a bit much.

Version on Jonquil's album so much better

Partly but not all down to intro.

Coincidentally, first song I ever heard that was interrupted by good old Alison Bramble! Wow.

jonqul covered it?

i did not know that. which album is it on? i find it kinda funny that their version came out first.

Lions

Mears guest-vocals.

Some idiot blogged about it, or something:

Oh PS guntrip

I got the October All Over album today like that thread you did ages ago recommended! Pretty good. Pretty, pretty good.

hurrah! :)

i shall give the jonquil one a listen..

I found that insanely annoying

It's not even a very good introduction.

And the final song ends really abruptly. Which I find annoying too.

Everything in between iis perfect though! :)

even

the rattle snake song?

^ Cannula?

i like the intro, well nothing much happens, could of been shorter i suppose, but i forgive them.

I love that song

more than some of the other songs.
But no idea why.

I thought this too

But it turns out my itunes just cut 5 seconds off the end of the song when I imported it.

nah it's great.

it's Something for the Ghosts I have a problem with... the middle section is a bit much, no?

No

.

It's a tad long

After such a great intro its a bit disappointing.

^

that

seriously

whats with the intro, it just doesnt do anything.

Its a precursor

for their next album which is going to be a "drone-pop" opus.

^that

^this

its nice if you're in the mood to sit down and listen to an album

but annoying if i'm putting on as a distraction on the bus or something. i find myself fast-forwarding it now as it negates the whole point of listening to music in that situation.

album as a whole though - great!

I think it gives reason to use

'skip when shuffling' on itunes.
Especially if you cycle everywhere.
