I went to Banquet Records in Kingston
and they said they were having problems with the supplier and they didn't know when it was going to turn up.
I couldn't wait so I decided to be a big fat sell out and went to HMV where it was waiting for me.
How does going to HMV make you a sell out?

it's not terrible
it's just that we've had a lot of demand and a cock-up, outside of our control, at one of the distribution plants.
it's not really the distributors fault either, they're usually splendid and distribute our label, as well as all these labels whom I'm sure you can usually get records by http://pias.emakina.com/en/distribution/physical/labels
we're really sorry about this and doing our best to remedy it ASAP

for this is pretty shite.
they didn;t have it at the gig they played the other day.

I spoke to them when they played a couple of weeks ago
and said the distro had got a bit mixed up, it was annoying as I wanted to buy a copy off them!

Also, apart from having a well stocked HMV, Portsmouth is a grade A shithole so i guess no-one wins. Except me. I have the Youthmovies CD. Woo.
I ordered it from
hmv.com and it just sat there being "on order from our supplier" for more than a week so I got pretty fed up, cancelled it and picked it up from the store in Southend. Fucking stupid as it was £3 cheaper online when I ordered it. GAH.
this has happened to me with other albums
In this case, I got an email from HMV.com on 14/3 notifying me of its dispatch, however it did not actually arrive until 25/3.
I now buy my albums through Amazon from Caiman_Usa.
