they're the most exciting and important band to emerge from the UK since the Smiths!!!1! They're going to be bigger than Kasabian!!11!1
I really like them, they're mental live, wear napoleon dynamite style moonboots onstage, a rare sense of humour and fun, though in my world they'd get to play reading main stage, just to see if they can make it as far into the audience as david yow did...!
... but Populuxxxe is definately a better album. Oh wow sounds like a bunch of ideas rather than songs although hey cowboy and I Heart Structuralists are amazing. Cant wait to see em live, may have to check out that brighton show with gay against you.
i saw them play to about fifteen people in Bedford on saturday night
they were brilliant.
They redefined shambolic
when I saw them supporting Polysics. Most dire live act I've ever seen, even more so than the View.
yeah
they're rubbish, and racist!!!
i think they might be nazis
You must have been the person with a sonic youth t-shirt?
You looked very out of place in Bedford :)
sure was!
i actually grew up in bedford :)
No sympathy for you.
I live there :(
yeah, i like 'em.
Not seen them live yet - the closest experience i've had was An Albatross, which was insane

Awesome
Populuxxxe is great, and live their 'singer' is one of the best and funniest frontmen I've seen in a while!
awesome indeed ...
... haven't seen em live yet but judging by the youtube clips he's a quality frontman. I love the way they use synths. Airz is an amazing track.
Go see them
if you can, definitely worth it!
But mind out for flying guitars and microphone cables.
Unfortunately I saw them amongst a room of fashionista idiots who just stared as if it was a zoo. Still a great gig though!
Yes, so much.
They played Ashford in October, minus the singer. They were delicious.
i think there good
populuxxe is a reaally good album
Yeah, I bought Popluxxe a few weeks back.
I love them loads. I have had to stop listening to the album at the moment because I am getting bored of it.
I saw them over the easter weekend at the Windmill thing organised by roastthemonaspit. They were awesome.
Am trying to get hol of a copy of 'Oh Wow!'
When i'm in the right mood
Absolutely brilliant.

playing in brighton with gay against you on april 19th which should be an absolutly banging show.
Oh Wow!
Is a really fun album.
Need to see these live at some point, they played a little pub in Bolton on their last tour but i couldn't go =(

cool
Whats with the water margin though? Are you starting a regular band and club night there by chance?
Populuxxxe is possibly my album of 2007
'Oh Wow!' isn't anything too amazing though.
they're ridiculously awesome
also one of the few bands of this modern age to make me laugh out loud when listening to them.
Amazing band..
totally love both their albums. St Mark is a choon!
On a related note, does anyone have a clue where that "I was born in Brooklyn" sample comes from? Or is it's mystery to be retained for generations?
I always end up shouting that part out REALLY loud
haha me too
also I love the "Why don't you take Alice to one of your heavy metal vomit parties?" quote. Good times!
bunch of pricks
Do you know them then?
I spoke to the singer, he seemed okay. Not arrogant anyway.
Love Oh Wow ...
