It looks like this will actually take place this time

http://www.bbc.co.uk/6music/news/20080330_specials.shtml

Plus they are on the cover of the new Mojo

I hope to God this is a good thing

oh my

oh my

that would be summink special

it would tho

*sigh*

Hmm

I'd like to think it'd be amazing, but watching their Rock Goes To College (it's all on YouTube) a couple of weeks ago it was clearly all about the vitality and energy of being part of this youth movement they created, and you have to wonder whether that whole thing can be recreated for audiences of balding ex-rude boys.

Also the Specials reformed about twelve years ago without Hall and Dammers and were roundly ignored.

This is

the best news ive heard in several days.

I like Terry Hall

I saw the Specials w/out TH and they were shit, though. Of course, I bet they won't be playing a dive bar this time around...so I may skip it anyway.

I don't know how to feel about this

On one hand The Specials were incredibly good and on the other is the fact they may tarnish their image with a new tour. I would see them though.

i know what you mean

i will definitely go and see them but in trepidation...from what i understand they have already been in the studio doing new material so this won't just be a run through the hits...hopefully this will be good, i've always been impressed how terry hall has managed his quality control over the years, yes even guilty pleasures

noooooooo

please don't.

follow the clash and weller's lead.

won't somebody think of the children.

why must you record my phone calls?

are you planning a bootleg LP?

oh yeah

Don't Call me Scarface

enjoy yourself

it's later than you think
