I'm going to the sheffield date

but that doesn't seem to be DiS sponsored for some reason. Not familiar with Mae Shi, will have to myspace them.

The Mae Shi is

possibly my album of the year so far - investigate post haste sir!

i'm currently

a bit addicted to Run To Your Grave. Is the rest of the album along similarly amazing lines?

Almost

its like a really hyperactive wolf parade or unicorns.

the Sheffield date will be ace

Pygmy Globetrotters (me and my mate) are playing too.

www.myspace.com/pygmyglobetrotters

hope you like us too

i know it's a bit far in advance

but do you have any vague idea of settimes? Never been to gigs at DQ so dont really know, have an exam the next day and dont want to get my hopes up incase i cant go :(

not sure yet

the posters say it's open 9-3

i'd have thought the bands will be done by 12 ish.

they say music helps the revision process, so therefore you should come.

Any ideas what the venue's like?

Their myspace says DQ, but I can't seem to find a website for the place.

yeah

it's just down the road from the Washington Pub near devonshire green.

downstairs is a large club

this gig is upstairs which is slightly smaller but still a decent size room.

it's a very cleen feeling club.

this is the venues myspace http://www.myspace.com/dqsheff

and this is the club night

why do DiS tours have a fear of Bristol?

Especially when there is such a large group of DiS people who would go to a gig and bring more.

^

definitely

There's a lot of us out here. I could bring at least 5 people with me too.

'ello...

...we've not booked the tour, us lot in the office. Professionals have, who do this for a living. I guess there's little demand beyond you guys for a tour like this in Bristol.

There'd be plenty of demand

but whatever, Mike. WHATEVER. The Mae Shi have been added to the Dot to Dot line-up, so maybe Jo Fo will be as well (yn). Actually, that could be why the tour's not hitting Bristol...

Same with Cardiff

but then when DiS tours do come to Cardiff they tend to go to the Barfly so maybe it's a good thing...

apparently Lamb and Lion

is gonna be the new single - good choice i say..

That's the only Mae Shi song I've heard

and it's WELL GOOD. I need to listen to some more.

and Oxford...

although actually yeah, maybe that's wise as it's so rubbish here...

Am I correct in thinking

that for the Cambridge date, it's sans JoFo?

THAT SUCKS

Fortunately, I'm much more bothered about seeing the Mae Shi.

I don't think so...

And I bloody well hope not.

This suggests they should be there:

Here's hoping!

Jo Fo are playing I think

Jo Fo cancelled a cambs gig in March that we were booked to be support for so the barfly booker did loads of wangling to get us on as a local support for this, only for us not to be missing our drummer :(

So I'll be there drinking and dancing, yay for that.

I need to investigate this

as the Glasgow show's only £6

line-up addition...

...coming soon...

Yo Mike, J'Fo are playing Cambridge, right?

thewarn up there has got me all worried.

Yup

Says they are on their Myspace anyway...

.

playing manc on 21st may too

I was just going by what

the barfly told me. They're probably being silly.

yay I'm excited

I have my tickets already and I'm off to see um in York.

Will the Garage

be open in time? The Tokyo Police Club gig in June has just been moved to the Scala, and that's a month later. Also, I get back from the US that day, so jetlag ahoy!

yeah i saw that listed somewhere a while ago too

but london is kings college now..

If I can scrape cash together

I'm sure I'll wander along to Fibbers. I like that place.

Cambridge

is where i'll be

i want to go

but dont think i can

fibbers for me

excited!

21st manchester

moho live... anybody know if johnny foreigner are confirmed for this date for defs?

annoyed i'm missing the liverpool show on the 10th and this looks the best bet to see this tour...

fuck that

yes they are, good stuff!

.

yep, johnny foreigner playing manchester for sure

some news

the line-up addition in Sheffield is the rather wonderful Pygmy Globetrotters
