Just wondering if anyone has seen Malcy on his current tour. Saw him on Saturday at the Exeter Phoenix and I gotta say I was pretty blown away...so good.

i did!

i saw him at leeds last thursday, he was utterly fantastic. lovely man, lovely songs, and so humble. what song did he end on?

i did too

was at Exeter Phoenix as well, thoroughly enjoy it and got a cd signed too..

Devil and the Angel

a depressing song really, but it was made far more lighthearted by him slagging off newton faulkner between songs.

nice

he got on quite late, didn't he? i heard him complaining to someone beforehand

yeah he finished with that in leeds too.

there were some drunken scottish "lads" shouting at him from half way through the set. it really annoyed me, although i know they meant nothing by it.

de rosa

were they supporting in Leeds?

yes!

nice band, couple of really bad songs, couple of really nice songs. although the singers guitar broke halfway though a really song and he gave up and started a new song.
also, wasn't the girls voice so amazing?

i agree completely

when he started singing about like 'love economics' or something i was kinda lost. definitely, she was brilliant- went really well with malcy's gravelly scottish accent if you ask me. What did you think to the bassist? He looked like he was pissed at mine!

ok

i understand now :D

the bassist looked like he was having

so much fun. he was really getting into it. also: i've never seen so many glasses/beards/pints at a gig before. we were also the youngest there!

yeah

i'm fairy sure in Exeter he was drunk AND enjoying himself, always a deadly combination! indeed, there were a fair amount of beards, i'm afraid to say i was not sporting that particular look. I was however, also the youngest there..

*fairly

aww

i wish he'd have been drunk in leeds. it makes it a little more entertaining because they really get into it.
:)

london gig..

just back from the london gig - great great stuff. de rosa were brilliant as ever too - cant wait till their 2nd album

you were just unlucky he wasn't i guess :P

i can't say i had heard of de rosa before saturday. i did like them but a couple songs were not so great comparatively

^ this

(about de rosa) but i already said that. what was the song that had the line "a body can only hold a body's worth of blood" or something?

i honestly can't remember the names of the songs

but it sounds familiar

well i didn't like that song anyway.

lyrics were a bit rubbish.

mend

try their full band stuff. their first album is lovely.

I really wanted to go tonight

so annoyed. Does he play often?

not down

my neck of the woods!
