applies to Arsenal's football recently. Maybe not so much last night, I didn't see much of the game. I do know that Adebayor's opener was cancelled out by Dirk Kuyt and that Arsenal should probably have had a penalty for Kuyt's tug on Hleb. All to play for in the 2nd leg. I still fancy Arsenal to nick it. Everyone thought they were dead after the home leg against Milan.

In Turkey I could scarcely believe my eyes this morning when I saw that Chelsea lost. 1-0 and apparently in control they contrived to lose. I still think they'll be too strong for Fenerbache at Stamford Bridge, especially with the away goal.

Rangers are tonight's sole British remnants in the UEFA Cup tonight as they take on Sporting Lisboa, conquerers of Bolton in the last round.

Real Madrid have thrown their hats into the ring for Didier Drogba.

Theirry Henry is being lined up by new MLS Franchise in Seattle with the promise of £150,000/wk.

Martin O'Neill is planning a £3million for Brian Howard.

Cardiff want to re sign Michael Chopra.

Freddy Eastwood looks set to snub Derby and Coventry in favour of a move to Crystal Palace.

Plymouth are lining up a move for Barnet's ex Harrow Borough winger Albert Adomah.

Martin Allen is interested in the vacant Huddersfield job.

A bit thin on the ground this morning, apologies. I've got a shit load of stuff to do. Normal service will resume tomorrow.

excellent headline

would have been amazing if Arsenal-Liverpool had been nil nil

Not impressed with Chelsea's capitulation

but looking at the bigger picture, a 2-1 defeat away from home isn't all that bad. Puts the onus on us at the home leg, but I'm comfortable with that.

I predicted 2-1 Fenerbahce and I would have taken it before the game.

We shouldn't of let them back in the game but their winner was a screamer.

As for the Arsenal vs Liverpool game I found it depressing, usual Liverpool boringness gets the result against a team that play passes at about 5 times the tempo. Arsenal should have definitely been given a penalty, great run by Hleb, they were playing the luckiest side in the history of the Champions League though so it has to be expected. Liverpool make me want to cry, they annoy me so much.

NichoLOLZ Bendtner...

that was some dancing on the goal-line...i'm sure that did wonders for the lad's ego and allegedly frosty relationship with adebyore(?) etc...

A few reflections on the Arsenal Liverpool game

1) Stone wall penalty on Hleb
2) Bendtner is officially oput of my good books.
3) I have lost all respect for Torres. The man is a despicable cheat. I hope he gets fucking crunched soon.
4) There is no need for Eboue to be in our team, Walcott was brilliant when he came on.
5) Steven Gerrard done well for the goal (and it was poorly defended), but remains worse than Hitler.

wasn't bentnder in your best strikers in europe list?

has defoe taken his place yet?

His place has been taken

by Brian McBride

Don't you mean

Colin Kazim Richards?

Gerrard's been playing very well of recent...

much as it'll pain certain folks on here...

Did anyone listen to any of the 5live commentary? Holy good fuck! I know Alan Green's a liverpool fan but his hard-on for them is something else...i reckon he'd suck Mascherano's balls in an instant....! I think he's worse than all of ITV.

Apart from the goal

Gerrard was anonymous last night.

I wouldn't say he was anonymous...

He went about his job pretty effectively, especially when Benitez ordered a mass defend...

You could have done without Fabregas playing deeper than your CBs...and you're clearly missing a right-sided midfielder...

WALCOTT!

Did you see how he frightened liverpool last night? He needs to start.

NO!

He's not good enough at the moment...he's ok as an impact sub cos of his lightening pace, but not from the start. Feel free to keep playing him though, the last thing i want is for arsenal to sign a world class right winger...

The only way

he will improve further is if he starts more games. He would be at least 50 times more useful than Eboue, who surely should have been right back if anything last night.

Alan Green is a fat, biased cunt

I wouldn't be bothered if he was on commercial radio but it's a joke that someone so blatantly partisan is funded by the licence fee.

Exactly...

He's so fucking opinianated it makes me sick...

Alan Green

is a Nazi.

He didn't bother commenting on the action

when Arse had possesion, just insisted on slagging of Arsenal fans and blathering on about Masch and Gerrard, then would suddenly spring into action when Liverpool got the ball. It was a joke. The entire last twenty minutes of the 1st half you wouldn't know anyone beside a Liverpool player was on the pitch.

I noticed that

Arsenal fans were leaving before half-time, presumably to get half-time drinks or pies or something, and Green was going apeshit, saying 'you won't see that at Anfield next week'.

He's a self-important, myopic, know-it-all dickhead.

I'll tell you what you'll see at Anfield next week

You'll see the murderers sing, 'you'll never walk alone' then they will go quiet.

the choreographed, scarves-aloft renditions

of that Gerry and the Pacemakers shite do my head in.

Anfield is scarcely different to any other Premiership ground for atmosphere, yet people still buy into all the myths about 'the famous Anfield 12th man', 'those great Anfield European nights', zzz. Steve Ryder even mentioned the 'Anfield atmosphere' before the Roma v Utd game, as if it was relevant in any fucking way.

I was there not too long ago

and I was really excited about the prospect of going to anfield, the atmosphere etc.

What a letdown.

The murderers?

Please explain that statement

They caused Hillsborough

and Heysel.

HAHAHA

Oh dear - Heysel yes to some extent

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Heysel_Stadium_disaster

Hillsborough no no no

Shows what little you know about the actually incident
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hillsborough_Disaster

This statement is an insult to the people who died there, and actually truly offensive

Shows how much you know about the incident

or the article you just posted:

'Hillsborough Stadium was segregated between the opposing fans as was customary at all large matches, the Liverpool supporters being assigned to the Leppings Lane End of the stadium. Kick-off was scheduled for 3:00 pm, with fans advised to take up their seats fifteen minutes beforehand. On the day of the match both radio and television advised that supporters without tickets should not attend without a valid ticket. This was not heeded by the Liverpool fans'

I'm not disrespecting the dead. It was a horrific incident. But it was caused by Liverpool fans.

and to add to this

at the champions league final last year, another incident occured when, suprise suprise, a load of liverpool fans without tickets rushed the stadium.

*stinks

I don't think

my attitude towards Liverpool has anything to do with me being an Arsenal fan. I could support Brighton and I would feel the same way. Liverpool are a horrible club.

Ok

Fans:
Robbed their way around Europe
Think its ok to sneak in to grounds at the expense of other fans (their own fans) who have paid.
Think they have a divine right to win everything every season.
Claim to be the bvest fans in the world but are silent for the majority of the game.

Players:
Steven Gerrard

....

People from Liverpool in stereotyped shocker

There are bad fans and good fans in all clubs

Glossing over the fact that there were many factors which contributed to the incidents to which you

And taking your view that some Liverpool
fans were the sole cause of the incidents, casually referring to a group of people with an allegiance to a particular club in the way that you have is despicable and something akin to saying all modern day Germans are Nazis.

You will most probably play the levity card which shouldn't be accepted when this sort of language is used as though common parlance.

READ IT properly

There were accusations that the behaviour of the Liverpool fans contributed to the disaster. These centred around consumption of alcohol before the game and attempts to enter the ground without a ticket. Although Lord Taylor acknowledged that these aggravated the situation, they were only minor factors.

Witness estimates of the number of fans that were drunk varied from a minority to a large proportion of the crowd. Although it was clear that many fans had been drinking, Lord Taylor stated that most of them "were not drunk nor even the worse for drink". He concluded that they only formed an exacerbating factor.

The possibility of fans attempting to gain entry without tickets or with forgeries contributing to the disaster was also suggested. South Yorkshire police also suggested that the late arrival of fans amounted to a conspiracy in order to gain entry without tickets. However, analysis of the electronic monitoring system, Health and Safety Executive Analysis and eye witness accounts showed that there was not an excessively large number of ticketless fans. The report dismissed the conspiracy theory.

i wish that tramp that booted Fergie's balls

would do the same to Alan Green. i'd buy him a pint for that

Have to agree about

Torres and Eboue. Torres is a big diving cunt. My thoughts on Eboue the person are well known, but as a footballer I really don't think he is worth a place in Arsenal's starting XI, particularly not as a wide midfielder.

Liverpool are very good at playing not to get beat in Europe

that's about it. I didn't see last night's game, instead I made the mistake of listening to Alan Green's commentary on Five Live which was the usual unbearable scouse wankathon.

They dominated us

for about 20 minutes, and played with at least 9 men behind the ball for the other 70.

I'm not saying it was a fair result

but it worked, didn't it?

My reflections.

1) I despise Liverpool.
2) There is no justice in football.

The End.

I think there is

Chelsea lost

What did

Bendtner do to get out of your good books?

A series of uninspiring displays

his general attitude
try to back heel the ball in last night (bollocks that was him jumping out of the way)

...what do sour grapes smell like?

worse than sour milk?

How we contrived to lose last night is astounding.

but Fenerbache's winner was one of those goals you just have to take your hat off to and get on with the next game.

It'll be pretty edgy next week, because Fenerbache look like they could easily nick an away goal.

Chelsea going out

would be hilarious (hilario). Is there anyway for there to be a final without a English team in it?

If Fenerbache beat Chelsea

then yes.

that would be quite funny

if only to hear the disappointment in Tyldsleys voice.

though if Man Utd get to the

final he will be absolutely unbearable

If Liverpool beat us

I hope they get fenerbache in the final, purely for the assaults.

semi final?

Oh yes

it is the semi isn't it? anyway, I hope the liverpool fans get doen over anyway, they were acting disgustingly last night.

^Just noticed this post

What exactly were the Liverpool fans doing last night that was so "disgusting"?

Singing?
Supporting their team?
Defending well?
Taking their chances?

Or was it that they didn't roll over and lose 5-0 to your beloved Arsenal?

And for the record, Liverpool have been th Turkey several times over the past few years in Europe, without trouble

No

I was there (where you?), and afterwards they were pissing in the street, abusing people and being threatening to anyone who didn't appear to be scouse.

*(were you?)

Again - 'they'

Were ALL the Liverpool supporters walking around with their dicks out pissing? I am sure some Arsenal fans do things you disapprove of? Why can't you grasp that fans of LFC (like any club) have one guaranteed similarity - they support LFC? To have the sort of blind hatred that you seem to for a group of people based on an allegiance to a football club is strange and disturbing.

^ EXACTLY

Thank you for putting down into words what I couldn't without resorting to name calling

Regardless of what he says, Olegrich whole stance in this thread shows him to be a sore loser (and they've not even lost yet)

I wasn't there

So, I can't comment on what happened outside the ground. In your post, you seemed to be implying about their behavior in the ground (maybe you should be a little clearer)

I want Liverpool out of the competition asap

but personally I find the thought of United beating them in the final quite orgasmic. It'd be like taking all their trophies and throwing them in the bin.

*throws up just thinking about it*

Can you imagine if it's an all-english final?

(somthing along the lines of) "This is the moment ALL English football fans have dreamt of..." FUCK YOU!

Is it me

Or is Veronin the spit of Attitude era Triple H?

Before the steroids?

I see where you are coming from. HHH is probbaly a better striker though.

Exactly

The slimline Trips, without the handlebar. Everytime he comes on I want to hear 'ITS TIME TO PLAY THE GAME'.

Do know what I like?

Not hearing Tyldsleys' voice. Regardless of tone

Do Know What Like:

bringing you jazzy post-commentary since 1997

Eastwood to Palace

would be a good move.

EAGLES! EAGLES!
