Death Cab for Cutie will play an exclusive one-off show in London next month.

Ben Gibbard, Chris Walla, Nick Harmer and Jason McGerr will be at the giant red money-vaccuum that is KOKO LONDON ELECTRIC BALLROOM on the 5th 6TH of May.

The show will be the first chance to hear tracks from the band’s new record, Narrow Stairs, which is out through Atlantic on the 12th of May. Tickets cost £17.50 and go on sale at 9am tomorrow (4 Apr) from all usual online outlets.

A single – ‘I Will Possess Your Heart’ – arrives, digitally, on the 28th of April and on the day of the show in physical form.

is KOKO really that bad?

i've never been but i'm definitely going to this

No it's not

But once people get a hold of an idea, boy do they run with it

gah

17.50 is abit steep seeing that i have to get to london aswell:(

Yes

It is definitely their fault you don't live in London

:)

I couldn't

Be more excited. Plans and Transatlanticism are two of my favourite ever records. All hail the Gibbard.

its now

on the 6th at electric ballroom - weird

balls.

i'm playing the dublin castle that night. come see ME instead.

got mine

sooo glad this was moved to the 6th!!!!

:(

can't decide which of those two venues have worse sounds. don't think i've ever enjoyed a gig in either. mars volta at leccy ballroom was probably one of the most disappointing nights ever, sounded like it was only coming out of the bands stage monitors. ditto explosions in the sky.

THE DATE IS WRONG TOO!

I thought it was 6th May????

ew

electric ballroom is horrible

Technically...

it won't be the first chance to hear tracks from the new record...maybe the first chance to hear them live.

I'm wondering if the 8 min 36 secs ‘I Will Possess Your Heart’ is going to be edited for radio? Or are they not bothering with worrying about this as they're laughing at us Brits and our 'singles chart'?

The sound for AFI at this venue

was total arse, but I have been to some amazing gigs there. I'm looking a you, hell is for heroes.
