I dont get it, they are doing something that has been done about 200 times better before by bands like Odyssey and the Trammps. My advice to anyone that wants to get H&LA's album is buy something by Donna Summer.

I first happened across Antony
when he was part of Lou reed's backing band. And he was impressive. A freak, but impressive.
The problem I find is that while I can see that he is good at what he does, his voice makes me shudder.And not in a good way.
I think it's oddly beautiful
It's wierd, but that's all part of its beauty. I just can't imagine those songs working as well as they do if they were sung by another person.
He's got an amazing voice
if not one that's built for easy listening. There's something slightly creepy and uncomfortable about it. Can music be 'good' without having to be 'pleasing?' Sure. Any number of ace/horrific noise bands can attest to that, as can Bjork's stuff sometimes (when she's all up with the caterwauling).
I find him a little overwhelming when he's the main focus, but he's perfect on the H&LA album.
